Maybe that should be a separate thread? If people want a thread discussing beauty and lifestyle bloggers that should be allowed. There doesn't seem to be much appetite on this thread for other types of blogs, other than the interest you've expressed yourself. Maybe separate threads might be the answer.
Would the key things not be the similar regardless of the nature of the blog? The OP may get some formatting suggestions for her blog based on a science blog.

I like content that is well written with no grammatical errors, well spaced, no obscure words and no large pictures. Also I won't read a blog that's not responsive as I'm mostly on my phone and it annoys me! KIS (keep it simple) is a good guide.

Well the comment was disappointment that the thread was focusing on beauty/lifestyle blogs. This is the comment I was responding to. This thread originated in fashion/beauty and it was moved here where people continued discussing those types of blogs. If we're just talking style of blog, formatting etc. Why does it matter what the nature of the blog is? Why complain that it is focusing on one type of blog over another? People can discuss whatever type of blogs they want to. It's evident from reading this thread that the posters so far have been choosing to discuss beauty/lifestyle. If the posters want a thread discussing a certain type of blog, why force it to become a general-blog thread?

Holy God. Very little on Boards goes beyond the scope of first world problems. There's a thread called "trivial things that annoy me". Trivial annoyances are so commonly discussed on Boards that it's even been abbreviated to "TA". Isn't that what we do on Boards? Just vent a bit. If we wanted to discuss important issues and affect change we'd get in to politics.

If ye wanted to affect change for the better, politics is the last thing I would advise you to get into judging by the current state of our 'government'.

If you're unhappy with the current state of the government perhaps you could pursue politics to change it.

Why are you talking about the government and politics?? Stay on track with the topic, this has absolutely nothing to do with this thread..

Political blogs can be just as interesting as any other. Although I probably have stomach for only one Fintan O'Toole.

Anyway fashion, lifestyle and beauty blogs are probably the most popular to discuss because they require least intellectual engagement. Cooking blogs often require cooking the dish to evaluate how useful it is. For more technical stuff you actually have to be a bit more involved into the subject than just looking how to spend some money. I do occasionally check some economic blogs just because I find it interesting but it's very hard to discuss unless you are heavily involved into the subject.
