Another one here. Looks like the thumbsticks are indeed like PSP/3DS sticks.

The sticker says 'confidential property'. Hmm.

Looks like a Chinese knock-off Vita.

The shape kind reminds me of the vita.

If that's areal thing, then it's horrible. It looks like ps vita sticks, which are horrible. I gave up playing a lot of games just because of them. Specially metal gear solid games as they need precision and you get **** all with such small thumbsticks.

Maybe that works with something.. for example, a headset or a dock.

E.G. if it works with something similar to nintendo's version of a hololens, it could project holograms out of it, or allow for better visuals in it.

If it docks into something, the dock could have more buttons, hence the odd shape to allow the dock to be not to large and have the main buttons..

    ..maybe...

(I'd love it to be something like the first guess.. :))

Looks a bit like the probes in Allegiant. Maybe it flies around your head and you control it by waving your arms? :D

Funniest image I've seen in quite some time.

You'll never look at either in the same light ever again. :pac:

Although the sticker is just a label maker sticker, Nintendo's devkits do say "confidential property" on them, along with a nintendo logo and some other text.

I think it's fake though. I also think it was posted by the other guy with the white one.

Hope it's fake, really don't want a gimmicky controller. It looks like a car rearview mirror (BMW M5)

It's about time Nintendo stopped with the gimmicks and just give us a powerful machine that can blow away the X1 & PS4. My ultimate dream is for Reggie to walk on stage at E3 with Gabe Newell and announce the Steamtendo, but alas I must keep on dreaming.

That'll never happen, Steam have actual sales :o

I suggested the steam machine nintendo(great name btw) before and personally I think it's the only way they can succeed with a new console bar another gimmick they will sell to grannies and the likes.

Judging by that controller they are looking for another gimmick, they will never learn.

Well the first picture was revealed to be fake

Well, I was wrong about both fakes being the same guy, still...

apparently the second guy sells those internet "deal with it" glasses.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,381 ✭✭✭✭Allyall

The second guy confirmed for me that it was supposed to be a camera on the bottom of the controller. I thought that was a bit weird.

At least it killed some time while everyone waits for nintendo to say something/anything. :D

Possibly next month. And just over 2 months until E3

Nintendo may hire these two, and use their models of the fake controller to make the actual controller, that's been in development hell since the consoles announcement.
We will thereby be locked into a fake/real controller meme feedback loop that will cost the remaining sanity of thousands of Nintendo click bait site writers.

More rumours from a supposed 'AAA developer' who posted to Reddit. He stated the NX is more powerful than the PS4. Salt at the ready.

    The controller:
    • Doesn’t have an oval screen. Ours is a standard rectangle.
    • Has physical buttons with a screen behind them. It doesn’t have a form shifting screen, nor does it have a touchscreen with haptic feedback.
    • Is hardwired to the devkit, which looks like a boring black box with some USB ports and a disc drive.
    • However, that fake does get a couple things right. It does have scroll wheel shoulder buttons, but in addition to them it also has two regular shoulder buttons labeled ZL and ZR. It also has a headphone jack in the bottom of the controller.
    • I don’t know if the NX is backwards compatible with the Wii U or 3DS or not, but it doesn’t look like it is. The system is different enough from both that I think it would be hard to play games from other consoles.
    • The controller is sort of a game system in its own, but it’s not a replacement for the 3DS. It works like a companion app on a phone, and you can take it with you and control some things from your game, like how the VMU on the Dreamcast let you take a Chao with you and train it.
    • No one outside Nintendo knows what the NX’s name is. It’s still the NX here internally.

Boring black box with USB ports and a disk drive, sounds exactly like what would appeal to buyers of the PS4 and XB1!
    Consider this console war won!

I proved this fake by asking what kind of RAM it used, to which he replied "DDR5", to which I asked "GDDR5 or DDR5", to which he replied "DDR5", to which I replied "fake".

DDR5 doesn't exist. It's barely even landed on the design stage of a panel of IT folk's brains.

After that NX controller fake leak, I'm taking every leak as fake till proven otherwise, unless the evidence is overwhelming like that new PS4 model.

Fake. A couple of things from rumours before I believe are real. It'll have another screen and scroll wheel shoulder buttons.

Coming from the AMD earnings call...

In our EESC segment, we had record shipments of our semi-custom SoCs powering the Playstation 4 and Xbox One game consoles. Demand for game consoles looks strong for 2016 and we remain on track to generate additional revenue from new semi-custom business in the second half of 2016. Game consoles -- we see units going up 2016 to 2015. We've also said in the enterprise embedded and semi-custom segment that we will be ramping some new design revenue in the second half of 2016. We have new products being introduced in both the businesses with the new design wins in the second half on the semi-custom side.

More signs that the NX is launching this year.

    From a verified reddit user

As promised, I've decided to share some more NX information with you. This is second-hand information from trusted sources (like last time) and I have little reason to doubt its validity.
    Here you go:
    x86 architecture.
Backup data to Nintendo server (most likely My Nintendo).
    Support for additional screen.
Can handle ports of current-gen games.
Will be able to interact with smartdevice apps.
Using NX software will unlock My Nintendo reward points.

Was just thinking, what are the chances of them making Zelda a cross gen purchase? So something like if you buy the NX version you get a download code for Wii U version?
