The current approach isn't working and needs to be rethought.

More efforts need to be made by all communities.

    More mindless babble.

The words "rethought", "approach", "efforts" are political babblespeak for "we haven't a f-ing clue"

You do know it's OK to completely condemn these attacks and blame their religion without being racist or bigoted right?

I was referring to the racists and bigots posting in this thread. Not people condemning the attacks.

If you want to use this attack to have a go at Islam, go right ahead, as long as it's an intelligent, rational and reasonable comment. The majority aren't.

When you have people saying that any follower of Islam in Europe should be put to death, it's obviously going to be challenged. The same applies to people wanting to deport people simply for having a darker skin colour than they do.

    When has that ever worked?

Well a load of Scots mass migrated to the Noth East of Ireland in the 1600's and they integrated pretty well! Probably thanks to their shared celtic culture and the fact that they were also Christan. It might prove only slightly more difficult to integrate those of the Muslim faith because the differences are more stark but I think it can be done!

He didn't use the word "all" once in his post.

Don't misrepresent what people are saying.

No misrepresentation at all, he used the term "Muslims", as opposed to an organization like ISIS. Pretty clear inference.

No one is talking about getting rid of Muslims.

But talking about preventing more from coming is not bigoted. It's just common sense.

    wow...

So you think people should be turned away from visiting Ireland due to there Religion and that not bigoted?

So again a political party, is an organization that has a leader, a religion is comprised of various sects, with varying beliefs, and no single leadership. If you think these 2 things are comparable, then its safe to say you have no idea what your talking about.

To be fair in terms of not knowing what you are talking about the idea that religions can't have a single leadership is right up there.

Keep hearing stuff like "...Terrorism will never win."
Every time these evil bastards succeed in committing mass murder, they DO win.

Yes, and as I said before, just because you haven't seen the posts, does not mean they never happened.

Young Islamic people being radicalized online then acting on their own initiative.

Better integration coupled with better funded intelligence agencies is what's needed.

Until the fuel used to radicalize is stopped, no level of security will stop this in my opinion.
Western bombs and western backed campaigns will continue to fuel the anti-Western ideologies like ISIS.

What would your suggestion be then? Because what's being done at the moment clearly isn't working.

You know, rather that banning people for making stupid statements in this thread, why can't they be challenged on it and let their arguments be taken apart?

Some people here seem to have difficulty grasping the very basic distinction between wanting to get rid of Islamic terrorism and wanting to get rid of Muslims full stop.

Wanting the first is normal. Wanting the second makes you a bigoted idiot, not someone being oppressed by "PC gone mad".

No-one has any problems with Muslims. A lot of people have problems with their religion/cult. It is a dangerous, violent, oppressive cult, regardless what anyone says. No-one believes the bull**** about it being the "religion of peace".

If over a billion muslims worship an essentially dangerous, lethal cult, they need to take responsibility for that fact. In essence, they are acting as passive enablers at best, and cheerleaders for a violent cult at worst.

He presumably means immigrating to Europe.

We live in interesting times that's for sure but unfortunately I can't see anything changing anytime soon. We have god knows how many Islamic terrorists in Europe now a lot will have come in among genuine refuges the last year but in general Europe is a very soft target compared to the US or Australia. We'll be hearing a lot more of these kind of attacks on the mainland within the next few months. Hopefully these savages don't make it over here but let's face it security at our borders is laughable and doesn't inspire confidence.

I sincerely hope this is some poor taste humour.

If you think a terrorist attack is funny, then be my guest.
My point is that politicians have been warned time and time again about ISIS might be using refugees as a cover to bring terrorists into Europe, and still nothing is happening, just hordes of refugees coming with no control whatsoever.
This just had to happen, and this is probably just the beginning.

The attacks today are probably another case of leaderless jihad. No amount of deportations or carpet bombing will be able to prevent it.

What's surprising is how well integrated most Europeans who fight for ISIS are. Usually born in Europe, good education, middle class background.

If your referring to the Ulster plantation then as a matter of fact they did not integrate very well, religion being one of the main reasons.

A single sect can have a leader, but any major religions has multiple sects, and multiple leaders. Can you name a major world Religion that has one leader and no other sects?

Not due to their religion. Due to the likelihood of them blowing people up.

Looks like the EU has come a cropper.

UKIP’s defence spokesman Mike Hookem has blamed the terrorist attacks in Brussels on the EU’s Schengen free movement agreement. In a statement written from his office in the European Parliament in responce to the bombings at Zaventum airport, Hookem says that the Schengen Area is a threat to our security.

    Here’s the statement,

“This horrific act of terrorism shows that the Schengen free movement and lax border controls are a threat to our security. The head of Eurpol said in February that 5000 jihadists are at large in the EU having slipped in from Syria. There are 94 returned jihadists currently living in Molenbeek, Brussels. This fact alone should alert people to the fact that open borders are putting the lives of European citizens at risk.”

The Schengen Area is a passportless zone that allows free movement between EU countries. It is part of EU law and all new EU member are obliged to join it.

It wasn't a very good point. It sounded like a poor argument against his own position.

Because they ignore counter argument and just keep repeating the same nonsense endlessly.
