Religion is a vehicle. If Christianity was the majority religion in the regions these terrorists come from, these killings would be occurring in the name of Christianity.

Focussing all of your ire on Islam is rather pointless, it won't solve any issues. And experience teaches us over and over that when you attack or attempt to suppress a specific ideology, it becomes violent and dangerous.

This is a regressive backward thought process. There were many Christians in the Middle East and North Africa.

Where are the Christian suicide bombers?

    Peoples beliefs matter

So the doctors working in hospitals? The lecturer in a university? Every single person who is even related to a migrant?

How about an Irish woman who has 3 kids for a man whose immigrant father moved to Dublin 30 years ago? Her husband should be sent back to where he came from? He came from DUBLIN !

Your ideas are stupid to say the least.

Clearly his comments are way over the top, he is however putting forward solutions (granted they are crazy). Could others put forward plausible solutions maybe. Just to provide debate.

No, it doesnt, your genetic makeup combined with your cultural background make up defines who you are, a piece of paper is irrelevant, clearly, as we see from the latest series of Islamic attacks from "home grown" terrorists...

So a child born in America to Irish parents cannot consider himself an American?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,412 ✭✭✭✭listermint

Yes, all of them. The Irish woman can choose if she wants to live like a savage with her hubby wherever his father came from or she can live in a civilised country.

Civilised societys don't deport families like you are suggesting.

    lol

    Yeah

    Bigoted to the extreme

I am happy to show contempt for anyone against gays and the treatment of women like ****.

I proudly stand up for equality for women and men, and the fair treatment of gays.

Bigot - a person who is intolerant towards those holding different opinions.

Yes, if your opinions are this then I am guilty as charged

So you want to get rid of all the Jews who came to Europe also?

I remember a chap who wanted to get rid of them out of Europe also.

We could make an exception for the Jews. It would be Muslims I'd repatriate. And I'd have it into law that any new "religions" that have extremism against any one else would be next.

The lawyer representing Salah Abdeslam used the term that his client was "worth his weight in gold" yesterday, could that have been some codeword for the attack? Seems a rather odd term when I heard it yesterday.

Strangely enough, Reuters were reporting that Gold had rose in price this morning following the attacks.

I wouldn't give them too much attention. We can ship them all off to Donaldland if he becomes president or one of the s*** holes of eastern Europe, where they can all circle jerk themselves into oblivion talking about immigrants / muslims / people with a darker skin than theirs.

No the term is ethnically cleansed, and what about converts?

You're not helping yourself there at all.

You think our homeless problem is bad, just wait until all those with Irish blood and are shipped back to the country.

There are catholics in this country who hold extreme views on abortion and SAM, What should we do with them? How about the Christians in the states who bomb abortion clinics? Kill em all? Send em off to an island somewhere?

Families are deported almost daily across Europe and US when they don't meet the visa requirements of the country.

You are talking about deporting citizens.......

Repatriated back to their ancestral homeland.

We should all be repatriated to Africa so since that's accepted as being the place where the human race originated.

Are they deported from the US and Europe for religious beliefs?

We need more eastern European type policies in western Europe to defend against these savages. I'd be all for a Viktor Orban type leader in at the heart of Europe instead of people the ilk of Merkel.

This coming from somebody who said this:
they can blow each other off the face of the earth and live in complete misery, for all that it matters to us, Arabs and North Africans are not in danger of extinction, its not like they are an endangered population of northern white rhino or something.

So yeah, you can get fúcked.

I didn't know Irish catholics had opinions on surface to air missiles. Sounds dangerous.

So did anyone claim the bombings yet? Or are we just wildly blaming muslims?

You have no indication of how I feel about those attacks from my post. Take your "the PC brigade won't let me be my racist self" shíte away off.

This thread and ones like it make these situations worse. Using horrific attacks as an excuse for racist and xenophobic comments (bordering on incitement for some of ye) against entire groups of people makes me feel ill. Sue me.

Condemning terrorism and not be a racist tool are not mutually exclusive.

Can people calm down a bit in here, 26 people dead, 130 injured and death toll will rise by all accounts.

The people who did this are a minority, they do pose a big risk, but lets not get our brushes out and tar everyone from a certain background as being the problem.
I remember growing up and will be 40 next month, when England would be attacked by the IRA, it felt so shameful that people who say they are Irish were doing this and acting without any mandate from Irish people to do so.
I am sure there are plenty of Muslims who feel like how I felt back then, when people were doing something in our name but without the mandate for such violence.
We need to do what is right in the time of despair, not make the problem bigger by alienating good people who are ashamed of what people do in their name.
Irish people should understand this, I know I felt the shame of what people did in our name through acts of terrorism.
