It will likely snow throughout the night now in cork as colder uppers move in.
A couple of inches possible for high ground.

Recent reports shows Cork airport at 1 degree at the moment is it forecast to rise during the night

Min tonight is -1c for Ireland, but that won't happen under the cloudy cork skies. Likely to stay at 1c IMO.

It's so marginal and localised all evening! Lashing rain down the road in Midleton. Got on the train in the city at 6 and it was raining, few mins later in Little Island snowing pretty heavily.

Judging by the radar it looks like there could be a clearing soon. Band of precipitation is moving inland.

Wouldn't surprise me. Living not far away and it has been an extremely wet afternoon and evening.

Comeragh foothills have a covering of snow this morning. Temperatures around 4 degrees at present. Very grey soft morning out. Land saturated again. We really need our spring to arrive and stay.

If only that event yesterday had moved more north and east we could have had some decent snowfalls across the center and east of the country.
