Strangely I didn't have Heyman in mind, in the ECW round I was expecting to pick him cos I thought Arn & Tully would be gone but after that I felt fairly certain that he'd be gone before I'd pick him. Thankfully I have another plan for Brock atm that might mean this is not an issue.

This round I'd actually earmarked the Dynamite kid for my choice should he somehow survive with everyone taking tag teams so... Damn you Walt! :)

Really hope your able to do my idea LTSC but yeah I don't think I'd wanna wait to see myself though that's not why I decided not to go with the idea myself as if it works it's got huge potential.

Good work Mr Not the Hulk (for the PM and for) getting 3 Rhodes and 3 Wyatts already!

Just made the first trade of the draft myself which I am happy with.

Ha I see. Look forward to the next round draw so. Hopefully its kinder than 17th :)

On the latest run of picks :

Dynamite Kid/king : Had him on my top list but was hoping he would slip. Great pick as MNG showed last year.

Alberto : Shocked it took so long for Del rio to be drafted and then shipped off in exchange for Benoit. both are very versatile picks and Alberto being a very under rated pick. Once again MNG used him great 3 years ago and hopefully you will too.

Trish and Lits is great value together. Mr K assembling a nice little roster

The Wyatts : Was looking at Harper alone if he slipped through, hes a great pick and the 3 wyatts should give you plenty of scope for a great feud.

Nice to see the round moving on quickly since yesterday evening, well done.

I wonder if the stip news will impact on people choices for the end of this round?

Thanks for the trade BH. When the idea first came up I was hoping for a Del Rio to still be available and delighted he was. I am a big fan and also within the context of the draft he was written very well for in the past so is a strong guy starting out.

Del Rio was one I was considering but never expected to get as far as me. Have a couple of potentials earmarked so hopefully one gets as far as me!

Strongly considering trading Piper. Been working out a few scenarios and cannot seem to fit him in. Will hold off for another while to see if I can work something but if anyone is interested....

Now... I don't mean to be a bit of @sshole...but I wouldn't want the ADO Benoit trade cancelled... Buuuuuuut....two things... The trade essentially looks like you traded your pick (letting someone else decide who you pick) for Christ Benoit..also... The trade rules say someone has to be picked before they are eligible for trade... It does look like the trade happened before picks were made..

The trade was agreed before the Del Rio pick was made. That is correct. The trade happened after Del Rio was drafted.

The rule is copied below but trades have worked like this one in previous drafts.

    Trades:
Trades are allowed from a certain round (will be announced) onwards but you are limited it 5 trades each. When a trade occurs it's superstars your trading, not goes in the draft, so you must be able to make the draft pick before they are eligable to be drafted, i.e all normal rules such as 5 tag team picks limit are still in effect.

Can't go into detail (cos I am going into the cinema atm) but essentially what DM said and there have been many precedents of picks made and traded in the same post in years gone by. Tbh I woulda been happy enough with Del Rio although yeah Benoit is a better fit for my roster

Now "the big short" begins :)

This is my first go in the draft, so I guess I'm just clarifying things. It just looked (to me) that in making a trade before a wrestler has been drafted that, essentially, a wrestler has been traded for a go in the draft.

Is it allowed that if someone contacts me to see if I'm interested in trading a wrestler, that I suggest while I'm not interested in anyone on their current roster, but if they drafted a certain person or team then I would make a draft then?

On that note, I would like to take this moment to say goodbye to the BAD GUY

    hall.jpg

and say hello to the ROWDY ONE

    Piper_3.jpg

as myself and Necrnominus have made possibly the greatest trade of all time

I think the scenario you have pointed out is viewed as against the spirit of the game and the whole concept of trading.

I'll use your roster an example. Say somebody came to you straight after you picked Dusty asking would you trade. You aren't interested (they have nobody you want). They then asked who are after? Knowing you have Wyatt they'll promise Harper/Rowan in the next round of the draft. That IMO isn't really koscher.

On the other hand if said person picked Harper/Rowan off his/her own back knowing they can work them into a trade they are interested in, I'd say that is fair game and part of "picking who you need when you need them".

Personally I think the only trades that are not okay are ones where only one person trading is gaining an advantage. For example a few years ago a poster who was about to close their account traded the undertaker for **undrafted thus far mid carder usually taken as part of a tag team much later in the draft** cos they really didn't care anymore. This obviously gives the poster getting Taker a big advantage over anyone else in the draft.

However whether it was agreed in advance or not Del Rio for Benoit or Piper for Razor sees nobody come out worse for it.

The only rule about trades other than you can only make 5 of them is that you have to be able to make the draft before they are eligable to be drafted. I believe this rule was specifically brought in because teams were being drafted with the specific purpose of being traded to other rosters unfortunately the people picking them so as to draft them already had 5 tag team picks made (the limit allowed). No such a rule would be needed if people were not drafting picks with the intention of trading them away.

It's done in all forms of fantasy drafts where trades are involved iirc. American football drafts where someone has priority on the waver wire (only know that term cos of the FX comedy show The League) deals are made where that person will pick up a certain player and trade them to someone else in order to get someone who is already on their roster, Hell even in the real NFL draft you see teams trade pick order in the draft before they have even picked who they want etc with teams giving up their 1st round draft pick for another teams 2nd and 3rd round picks or whatever.

If people think otherwise though speak up and we will alter the rules in some form for next year.

btw Sheiky baby is gone! booo, great pick though and a guaranteed fun person to write for especially on a roster that already has people like New Day on it.

edit: I'll be putting the next rounds draw up soon

oh and the Big Short is really good :pac:

    done!

unexpected but very good pick there with Becky and Sasha

After some quick addition with the 6th round order now up I found that:

Due to the reverse order and last round being based on average order as a group there isn't a massive difference in our average draws now especially not when compared to previous years.

An average draw of 11.8333* is the worst while 9.3333* is the best

two posters have 11.8333* (Uncle Walt & BeakerJoe)
    two posters have 9.3333* (Paulie21 & Mrkiscool)
The other 16 are obviously somewhere in between

Necrominus (wasn't always him) has actually been both no.20 and no.1 twice in only 6 rounds so far
The only other people with a no.1 draw are Stereomaniac (x2), TheBostonCrab and now Mrkiscool
Meanwhile we see some of the same names appear for the other no.20 draws: Thebostoncrab (x2), Stereomaniac and A brad maddox guy

quick check of my list confirms this

although you've had not too many bad draws either

Balls. 20th in next round might force a change of pick. Will be online most of the evening so hopefully Lee picks soon enough but I might have to change my planned one this round... Decisions, decisions....

    done!

unexpected but very good pick there with Becky and Sasha

I felt my hand was forced with a combination of MrK swooping with Trish and Lita and my bad luck at a pick 19 next round, I felt it was type to get one female I really wanted (Sasha) and get the uber talented Becky as a plus.
two posters have 11.8333* (Uncle Walt & BeakerJoe)

Hopefully my next pick lasts until my turn but I don't hold my breath and hopefully my luck changes by the celeb / pre 70 debut rounds. But happy with my roster now especially with the trade of Eddie for Ric, while both could fit the role I have planned , Flair was ideal for the role and he was my number 1 pick before the draft began

Very very happy with my pick there. I only thought of them yesterday so Im delighted to pick them up. Now to find them some competition :)

Was not expecting Ricochet to go so early.

Was No 1 on my list for the next round, well done.

Honestly when looking at the picks yesterday I was surprised to see he hadnt gone yet! And getting Sydal as part of the deal was just way too good to ignore.

NOA are a great pick Necro, one of the most popular tag teams ever. And somewhat underrated in ring wise I think.
