I've never actually listened to a podcast in my life

What are the best wrestling ones to check out?

    Cheers
    Flairs is the best imho

I highly recommend Talk is Jericho since Jericho always gets good guests on the show. His latest episode with Luke Harper is worth checking out.

I also check out Stone Cold and JR podcasts every now and again.

Flair, Jericho and stone cold in that order I really like.

Harper sounds like a great guy from the Jericho podcast. Always find it weird when he looks crazy but then sounds like a chilled laidback guy

Looking forward to Austins review of SS on his podcast, could be a good listen

Colt's AOW is worth checking out as well. I mainly listen to his podcast whenever he gets an ex-wwe person on the show.

I always hear good things about Flair podcasts, but I have only to listened to 1 or 2 episodes. I wish his podcast was a lot more accessible.

Is it not available on iTunes? I've been making my way through all of the Place To Be podcasts, but they don't have the entire catalogue on iTunes, so I have to download then export.

Review-a-Wai and Bryan and Vinny are my favourite podcasts (that I'm not affiliated with!). Although the latter is through a pay-site, I think they're worth paying for. That said, I'd also pay for the LAW radio family of shows if they charged.

I think Pollock's great, the relationship between him and Wai is probably my favourite out of all podcasts (not just wrestling). Considering how much work he seems to put in and how clearly interested he is in his area of work, I find it a bit staggering that he hasn't been snapped up by a larger media outlet.

Was there a Boards Pro Wrestling podcast at one stage?

Considering Arda Ocal and Renee Young were snapped up by WWE, you'd imagine the thought has been on the agenda somewhere along the road. It'd wipe out around 60% of my podcast playlist if the Review-a series ever stopped.

On a related note, the actual LAW radio how itself has been pretty fun with Pollock filling in for Agnew the last couple weeks. Pretty cool change of format.

Listening to jerichos podcast with Luke Harper and just to look at him on tv it's strange to hear him sounding as a normal guy.

Jericho's podcast has been a lot better since he cut out his awful comedy impressions which were cringe worthy. He put out some utterly awful garbage in the early days of his podcast.

Are these available anywhere? I seem to remember one being arranged about 3 years ago. Maybe I'm not remembering right but I thought you were involved Jay.

I'm loving listening to becky on jerichos podcast. Damn it she is so nice and likeable and I know people have said she has a strange accent but it sounds like what I consider a Dublin accent.

Well most americans think we have a strange accent. Her accent sounds like a normal dublin accent to me too

It was kind of like extended version of her interview with Sam Roberts.

It's amazing how she went through soo many career paths when she gave up wrestling.

Something I liked is how she touched on her injury in germany which she has always seem to shy away from before. But on the whole she came across as well as he has in previous interviews which is as a genuine, nice, friendly, talented irish female wrestler.

Am I the only one who finds Jericho incredibly annoying to listen to? It's a shame too as he gets some good guests.

    God I missed you ha.

I dont mind Jericho, huge fan of his work prior to his "world will end " return, have cooled on him a lot since as an in ring personality. But hes fine as a host IMO, seems to have a good re-pour with his guests and does his homework before hand.

The ads and all are but I think he's the best interviewer of all the wrestlers that do podcasts.

I don't know I use to listen to podcasts alot when i had my old car, (my new one doesn't connect my phone) but between him JR and Austin I found him sometimes the easiest to listen to and at other times a pain in the ear, He can be a dickhead sometimes but often he's grand

There's something hilariously annoying about JR that makes it really easy to see why Vince was always tormenting him. There in an interview with wade keller last week after his account was hacked, his response to the hack was to list out a variety of things the hackers could have posted that would have been worse.
It really just felt like he was challenging someone to do it again.

Yea i have no symphathy for jr for his sacking. He made an ass of himself and was looking for a way out by the sounds of it.

I also use to love the ways they embaressed jr on raw.

His podcast is decent but i enjoy y2j and austins more.

Colt Cabana's seems the best one to me from what I've tried. The PJ Black episode has an insane story about his father that I never knew. A real holy fuck moment. Don't think I've heard a bad episode yet.

Lasted less than 10 minutes with Taz whereas I usually give it a full episode at least.

Jim Cornette's is good too even if he is stuck in 1985. He has a great rant last week about the shootings in California. He just exploded and even managed to get a shot in at Russo right at the end. Has to be heard to be appreciated.

Well jim isn't talking rubbish though. The same basic things should still hold through to today. I mean good guys and bad guys. It's not rocket science and the charlotte and paige feud is a perfect example. I saw it asked a few times last night who was the heel ? The fans shouldn't have to guess who is who.

I love Jim Cornette. He is a bit old fashioned, but he's right about the business being too exposed. It's hard to believe in storylines when you see what these wrestlers are like in real-life.

As for his political and social views, couldn't agree with the man more. He wants Sanders to be President and he hates gun nuts. He hates devoutly religious people, too.

He also tore into some Muslim guy form Perth, Australia because the Muslim was complaining about Cornette bashing Islam and then the Muslim went on to bash America. Basically, the Muslim wants free speech, but also wants censor free speech whenever it offends him and that pissed Cornette off.

I both like and dislike Jerichos podcast at the same time. I always skip straight to the interviews, because I can't stand his "jokes" and catchphrases during his adds and he just hyped himself up too much.

But, I always come back because he gets great guests and really get them to open up. Only thing I hate in the interviews is when he tries to big up how much he has followed someone's career, but messes up the more well known details of their career....and when he tries to make his ads seem like they are part of the original interview, which is so badly done (All the background noise is suddenly killed and Jerichos voice becomes louder). At least JR and Austin will just go "Hey we gotta take a break for our sponsors", which works much better.

YES! Oh god I can't stand the cringe when he does this. "Ha ha Sheamus, you are the living end. And speaking of things that are the living end, Squarespace will be the living end of your Internet site-building needs!"

I actually laugh at that type of creative shilling. Like hows he going to work Uber into a plug following a Becky pun

It appears Jim cornette's rant on the Muslims last week was too far for his producer and co host Alice radley.

It seems that she is done with podcasting and with the online stuff. And she was clearly not a fan of the listeners to Jim's podcast and Got a bit nasty about us actually.

Even better news. What an attention seeking weirdo.

Cornette burying Alex Greenfield was great. He is almost as unlistenable as Radley.

Is Sprite a blood pressure lowerer ? Otherwise I wouldn't.

I mean Jim said he couldn't warm to Vince Russo if they were cremated together.

Also apparently Vince said on jra podcast that Jim pulled a gun on him. Madness.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,543 ✭✭✭Mick Murdock

He said he pulled a gun in an act of road rage. Against a woman. I find it strange he owns one considering his objection to gun laws in the US.

He can be very petty sometimes but I love his passion. For ef. Religion I agree wholeheartedly with him. Outlaw the lot.

I thoroughly recommend every check out the 6:05 Superpodcast with David "Bix" Bixenspan and "The Great" Brian Last. Not overly long and two knowledgeable guys just chatting wrestling. Episode 4 has Jim Cornette and it was Cornette as a person chatting to two guys he knows and not Cornette the character being old and shíte.
