Ken Whisenhunt and Titans part ways. What's the story there Heli?

Ah yeah, I'm not really, just think it would be cool. It's good anyway that there are more coming to London, which is fairly easy to get to. I'll think about going if there are ever two decent teams playing :)

not surprising, 3-20 record, he's killing our QBs, time to move on.

Mike Mularkey is taking over, i expect we'll finish out the season ok

Wisenhunt is 6-44 in his last 50 games as head coach!

** Edit** Nah, heard that on a podcast - just confirmed, that doesn't check out. 5-11 his last season in Arizona.

one trip to the Superbowl 7 years ago, with Kurt Warner slinging it, sure bought him quite a career in the NFL.

Firing your coach just half way through the season when you are only 2 games behind the division leader!! Madness!!

do you want to win the afc south? i would say the titans are better off getting a good draft pick this year and becoming contenders in a 2-3 years i think they would get spanked in the playoffs right now

As a Chargers fan we'd take him back in an instance as OC. His one year there coincided with our best offense and it wasn't a coincident. He thrives when he has a good pocket QB

Carolina snuck in last year @ 7-9, won a playoff game and gave Seattle a decent game in the Divisional round.

It had all started so promisingly this year too with Mariotta's 4 td game against the Buccs.

    Yeah they would get spanked.

I was shocked when i heard but id say they think theyve still a shot at winning the division. They are only two games behind the texans and colts, whove both been terrible.

If they could sneak 6 wins in to finish the season (itd mean winning their last 4 divisional matches and against the raiders and saints) theyd have a chance of making the playoffs

Keenan Allen is done for the season.

it really does seem like more players than normal are getting injured - I'm not sure this is the case though. Pity, he was having a really good year. I wonder if the Chargers will follow the Browns lead and shut it down for the year. They look to be out of contention, their fan base is apathetic, the defense is woeful and they were rumoured to be shipping Eric Weddle before the trade deadline.

Fortunes change quickly in the NFL, Joseph Randle, starting tailback for Dallas week one, backup week 7, cut week 8.

“The NFL is reviewing at this time…the issue he had last spring in Wichita that cleared the legal and cleared the law enforcement of Wichita, but still the NFL’s conduct policy has other aspects to it and so they’ve been reviewing that,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said last Friday on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. “That could have some consequences.”

Jerry is a real hardass. It's his way or the highway depending on your stats. He won't tolerate any abuse of women from his backups.

actually the kap thing does not bode well for mariota the last 2 "qb of the futures" have turned out horribly I'm actually not sure of the last qb like that thats worked long term? i don't think cam is applicable because he's huge

I think Kaepernick would be grand if he would stop staring blankly up the middle of the field.

Cam is applicable, he might be a good 20lbs or so heavier than Kaepernick, but Kaep is ripped to f***ing shreds.

Russell Wilson also fits the bill, is in the Drew Brees league of 'tiny' for the position, and excels. People love to point to his running game and defense, but his line and receiving corps have always been average-at-best, and his stat lines, numbers and performance under pressure have always been very solid. I think his 849 rushing yards last season was the most ever by a QB not named Michael Vick (who had 900 in 2004, and 1,000 in 2006).

Tony Romo will be 36 next seaso and the injuries have been piling up a bit, I wonder if the Cowboys would be interested? Some time learning behind/with a guy like that who is very good at moving the ball through the air and being efficient, with Dallas' ungodly offensive line, with targets like Dez and Witten (similar but better versions of Crabtree and Bennett) plus some other speedy options to take advantage of Kaep's arm strength... it could be interesting.

The Rams might also take a peek, going with a run-heavy/power based game and extremely strong defense that they should not get stuck in many 'obvious, always passing' situations like being 14 points down in the 4th quarter. No guarantee it would work at all, but IF St. Louis could get a QB that could at least contribute (wouldn't have to be dominant or anything), they could be a force next year. Plus Jeff Fisher had a lot of a success with McNair, a smarter and better QB than Kaep sure, but not dissimilar in style of play. That team must be absolutely gagging to get something, anything out of the QB position by now with all the other pieces they have in place.

Those two scenarios are on the assumption that any potential deals would be cheap though. Maybe a 3rd/4th + conditional or something.

i think the cowboys will go all in on rg3 his ego and the media interest that would be generated by him to the cowboys seems like something jerry jones would love

Actually that could make more sense - he is from Texas and went to school there, too; Baylor is actually only a little south of Dallas too (by US standards), and at 26 by next season he could sit behind Romo for a year or even two and still have plenty of time in him if he did show to be up to having a crack at the starting spot in 2017 or 2018.

Kaepernick is a little older than I thought, today is his 28th birthday (what a birthday present - getting benched, ha!). My guess is the QB desperate teams get in a low-stakes bidding war for him over the spring, can't see him bringing in at absolute best a 2016 3rd, a 2017 6th/7th and a 2017 conditional to be honest, but more likely just a 2016 4th and a 2017 conditional or something like that. If he gets any say in it though, I just think St. Louis would be the best fit for him and while I doubt he would set the league alight there he and Gurley could form the basis of a pretty solid power offense to compliment that defense of theirs.

The more I look at Kaepernick the more I think he has a touch of the David Blaine about him, he's losing it. He'll be on ESPN with a football drawn onto his hand refusing to speak.

The 7-9 Saints did win a wildcard game away to the Seahawks

Once the playoffs come round anything can happen

The 7-9 Seahawks won at home to the 11-5 Saints

That was the year that all 4 divisionl match ups went to the lower seeds

Yeah I get what you were saying anyway the 4 lesser teams won, that Seahawks team were pretty crap as well. New Orleans choked massively in that game.

Was that the first game of the Skittles for the beast happened?
