Nearly 7k miles on her now and have another 3 weeks to go. Rental company going to be hatin' tho....:D

Was a nice day here today and car had 5k miles of flies dirt and stuff on it so decided I'd get it washed...

I think it's a lovely looking shape, one of my favourite out of the rep mobile fleets.

Bought a cheaaap tax avensis daysul!
So far have bought a bootlid with spoiler attached that happened to be correct colour for €70, tinted the rear windows and fitted a leather centre armrest out of a t spirit.. Also want to fit a double din stereo and possibly upgrade to 17" alloys! Here she is next to the brothers version!

Would love to be in your shoes, 166man. NHL season starts in 3 days, you should catch a game or two. :)

The Mondeos (or Fusion ) over in the states look much better then the boring ones over here. What is it the 1.5 ecoboost ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,326 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

    are they not the same?
    that's a 2.0 ecoboost AFAIK

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,190 ✭✭✭Mister Jingles

They are yea but the fusion gets the nicer looking alloys/bigger wheels which doesn't make the car look out of proportion. I'd assume but open to correction that it is better speced as well.

Oh and would I be right in saying that the 1.6 psa unit is unheard of over there ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,569 ✭✭✭166man

MJ - I'd definitely agree with you. Nicer wheels is really all the difference but the spec is much better, I think anyway.

This one is the 2.0T ecoboost. Excellently engine if thirstier than expected.

Haven't see a single diesel one over here so far. I will say that there are plenty of diesel BMW's here (relatively speaking). No 520d's but quite a few with the 35d engine.

Great to see the amber indicators.
Clear ones are so played out at this stage.
