Look at that water streak! She's a write off already MM!

I know :( I was very close to asking for my money back but I think that panel can be replaced on its own.

    Is it brand new MM?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,917 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

Nope, 2013 although it's in as-new condition with 25,000 km on it.

How come you didn't buy straight from crowded house?
Would that not have worked out better for both of you?
Btw get some black m performance grilles. Makes the car look way better than the standard chrome and not an expensive change.

That's a rather private question haha

CH had his plan laid out long before I expressed interest and I suppose he felt more comfortable with that.

What if I like the grilles the way they are? :P

Apologies didn't want to intrude on your business. I suppose you will benefit from the approved warranty now anyway which could be valuable.
I had the grilles on my car which was also estoril. I thought they looked great and BMW were doing an offer on them at the time.
    Car looks great either way.
I hope you enjoy it. Has it many extras? I see the 19" alloys and M brakes.

    Chrome grilles look nicer IMO

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,917 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

I was only joking with ya, no problem with questions :)

I'll look into the black grilles for sure. First things on my list are M Performance boot lip spoiler and pedals. They are throwing in the M Performance mats for me.

It has adaptive headlights, adaptive M sport suspension, Harmon kardon sound with Logic 7, extended storage, heated seats, BT handsfree, ZF 8 speed sport auto box with paddle shift and the dash is the one with the digital display underneath and across the dials.

The alloys have whiteworm on them (not CH's fault) so they are all being replaced under warranty. I'm considering that an extra :P

I've looked at the black ones and I'm still fonder of the chrome myself.

Black grills on BMWs are like German plates imo - they were nice at the beginning but far too common now. I like to stay OEM these days.

    Isn't OEM more common? :pac:

big day for the Celica today, that's miles too, not kms. Ironically i got that check engine light around 40 miles before the rollover.

I agree that on some models like the 5 series the black grilles don't look great in my opinion, but I think on a 3 series m sport where there is no other chrome around windows, bumpers etc. I always thought the chrome looked incongruous .
On a regular or luxury line the chrome looks the part but not m sport I feel.
Each to their own anyway but doesn't detract from a super car!
