Still no rumours.......how are they keeping the lid on it?

Probably have the squad settled but are telling those who are out this morning so still under lock and key.

Just for chuckles I've put together a "best" 15 based solely on their performances in the three warm-up games. Differs quite a bit from our first choice 15.

    1. Jack McGrath
    2. Richardt Strauss
    3. Mike Ross
    4. Iain Henderson
    5. Donnacha Ryan
    6. Sean O'Brien
    7. Chris Henry
    8. Jamie Heaslip
    9. Eoin Reddan
    10. Ian Madigan
    11. Simon Zebo
    12. Robbie Henshaw
    13. Keith Earls
    14. Dave Kearney
    15. Rob Kearney

Sure, there are a few positions you could argue with there, but it is largely a collection of the best performers from these three games.

With Ryan and Hendo perfectly capable of covering the blindside is there a chance he could drop a back row (Jordi or CH) in order to facilitate another Prop?

Not saying it's likely, but probably a little more likely than some of the other "theories" being discussed!

its not too far fetched really. Both could play one of the first two games each at 6.

The reason I have my doubts is that he has 14 posts and his first post several months ago was something along the lines of "I don't rate Jackson"...

The rest of his posts haven't been controversial though so he may know what he's talking about.
    It's Keatley's ma.

Ryan is not perfectly capable of covering blind side, would you stop. He's break glass in case if emergency at absolute best. But no I don't think that's likely at all. We don't need six props to travel.

Any time on when it's out or is it "at some stage today"?

The official announcement is actually tomorrow I think. We'll probably get some leaks today.

I would imagine that once we get to 5 p.m., news will start to trickle out.

I think we can all live with a 24 hr wait tbh. There might be articles and rumours popping up but then there'll be the inevitable debate about how accurate they are and how people "can't see Schmidt doing that" etc. We'll find out for definite tomorrow and not knowing until then doesn't make a blind but of difference to anything.

Stop being so boring, molloy. We need to guess the 31 today!

So, with that in mind, O'Connor in the Indo is saying that there's a concern over Earls' cheekbone and that he may have a facial injury and the concern isn't really concussion as such. He went for a scan after the game. No word on results.

I bet the 31 will be in the Irish Times tomorrow morning.

Keith Earls must be one of the unluckiest players. I would have put him ahead of Fitz, and I am a big Fitz fan too.

Let's hope it's just bruising. It would be a real shame if he was put out of contention.

i think everyone anticipates a 17-14 split, what will be the most contentious decision? Or will JS make the boards.ie peace keeping selections?

I like the two of them for very different reasons. They're actually quite different, in style and method, yet get compared a lot, mostly because of injuries and unfulfilled potential I guess!

Hate to say it but I think Earls is ahead of Luke F now for that last spot (if Felix is not going).

I had Earls ahead of Fitzgerald prior to Saturday but it's completely open now. He did not go well on Saturday with his most obvious contributions being errors.

I don't think either of them are going to trouble the starting team at this point. I think it's a straight call between DK and Trimble for the 11 jersey with the loser not making the 23. If Jones goes, he'll be the 23. If he doesn't, it's Zebo.

With a bit of luck JS will have been reading boards and seen the damage that will be cuased and will be taking both of them, there-by stopping the inevitable explosion which will lead to a singularity that would destroy the universe..........

Those not going have been told, according to RTE just now.

If it.comes.down to one spot between two then I think Earls just shades it, but the obvious call for me is to bring both and leave Jones at home.

Beaking news, Marmion just has destroyed the Carlton house to protest...POC and McGrath had both to put a hand to control him:pac:

Don't understand why they are waiting 24 hours. Rumours will start almost immediately. Better just to tell the players and then do the press conference right after.

If he couldn't even make it to the right hotel, what chance did he have of making it to England? :)

It does seem completely pointless to wait.
