Good idea. We'll postpone the semis until after McCann's judicial review is decided upon. The Courts re-open in the first week of October ;)

Oh they stay very much open for emergency applications. And I'd imagine the whole country holding it's breath would be good grounds!

Which court would hear this application?

Did he or did he not bring the game into disrepute?
Did he or did he not feign an injury? Do you think there are two types of feigning injury - some which do bring the game into disrepute and some which do not?
FWIW I think all feigning of injury should be classed as bringing the game into disrepute but the rules as they stand do not class it as such.

To be honest Tyrone are lucky that the don't have more players suspended for the semi final along with with a few Monaghan lads getting suspensions for the behaviour that we seen on Saturday.

    How whimsical, you're a ticket.

Fact is Kerry have been getting decisions all season and this is the latest to help them.

There'd have been no need for your laughable conspiracy nonsense, or whimsical responses, if the player hadn't cheated in the first place and taken a dive to get an opponent sent off. Saying "but Aidan O'Mahony did it 7 years ago" is a weak defence.

Next time James O'Donoghue goes down holding his face looking for a free will be interesting. If he does it against Tyrone i expect an implosion :pac:

He went down and feigned an injury. Clearly dealt with in the rules.

Ah, so it was legalised cheating. The best kind of cheating!

I'm not sure how such a pathetic display of cowardice isn't bringing the game into disrepute though?

Oh the High Court would be the place for any review. And it continues to have sittings through the holidays, I believe they are on Monday and obviously usually deal with injunctions, applications involving big commercial decisions etc.

I said your response was whimsical. No conspiracy theories either, Kerry's games have all been televised this year so i have seen it with my own eyes.

But of course the suggestion that there is an agenda to help Kerry is the epitome of a conspiracy theory.

If you have already forgotten your theory, here it is...

Another little helping hand for Kerry on their way. There have been about 5 or 6 black cards not given to Kerry players this season. Then you have one of their opponent's players being suspended before the semi final for an offence that i have seen James O'Donoghue commit this season and which Aidan O'Mahony famously committed a few years ago. Funny isnt it!

He committed a breach of the playing rules - imo it merits a disrepute charge as much as picking the ball up off the ground or taking 10 steps would merit one.

Every single bad tackle or "shemozzle" can be argued to bring the game into disrepute. Most of the players in the Monaghan Tyrone game could be arguably up for it using your method of ignoring the clearly set out offence in the rulebook.

Kevin Keane will be probably done for striking, as per the rulebook. Want his charge changed to bringing the game into disrepute?

What no one seems to be pointing out is that McCann is actually pretty useless and all this will do is help Mickey create an even bigger seige mentality.

You should read it again lest you go off topic.

    Indeed. :)

As a Solicitor i would tell whomever is attempting to get it into that list, good luck

And as a Solicitor myself, I can tell you that if something needed to be reviewed or the All Ireland would be suspended with the massive financial implications, they'd find a Judge. No bother.

The Mayo crowd would be well up on how to get lads out of bans as well.

I see you are going with the relatively new tactic of "Call it a conspiracy theory to discredit someone".

You trying to tell me that these incidents didnt happen?

What would be the "massive financial implications" of postponing the semis and final? RTE would still show them, fans would still attend. What would be the massive financial implication? Think you would need at least that to scoot into that list to be honest. I have seen serious matters worth much not get anywhere near it.

You're right. The above proves that Kerry players never dive and that McCann should be suspended for 8 weeks. Good man.

    Hmmmm.

Just a few posts back you seemed to be under the impression that the Court fully closes down.

Now you seem to be up to speed on exactly what would or would not make the list!

I think there'd be a good few Judges who would be found to take a case affecting the All Ireland Series. You, who apparently didn't know the Court was open at all, don't. We'll agree to differ.

You are a Solicitor, you don't need me to explain your own post to you.

Saying the GAA was assisting Kerry, the obvious inference that can be drawn from your "funny that" remark, is a conspiracy theory.

Unless you thought it was funny ha ha. As you like whimsy!

My opinion is that the rules should be applied to everyone equally. Bar Lee Keegan.

Lets call a spade a spade here lads whether you agree with what he did or didn't do I think we all know he'll get the suspension overturned.

Crazy stuff from the CCCC in my opinion!

It is a correct statement to say that the Courts are now closed because they are. That does not preclude there being emergency sittings. I think you are talking out your hoop though in relation to getting this ridiculous issue fast-tracked. Hmmm all you like.

Nothing conspiracy about it. Everyone can see the decisions Kerry has gotten. They are stacking up at this stage.

Is there not a Court of Arbitration for Sports that will be able to deal with this on the off chance that the GAA try to push it through?

Feigning foul or injury is supposed to be punished with a yellow card in a game ....I don't see how an 8 week ban is at all fair in comparison, McCann is far from the 1st player to play act and con the ref so why now does this kinda ban have to be introduced? Decisions on correct punishments for these types of incidents should be made before seasons not at the semi final stage.
