Ok have downloaded the file. Do I need to have the file stored in any particular folder. How do I reboot phone into recovery mode ? Thanks

I just put it in the root directory. You enable "Advanced reboot" in developer options under settings (if you don't see them, turn them on by following these steps: http://www.androidcentral.com/how-enable-developer-settings-android-42). Then you'll get the option when you choose to reboot your phone. Select "wipe cache partition" at the boot screen, then select "apply update" and select the downloaded file. Then just wait!

Great and this shouldn't delete apps or data from the phone if it goes through without any hitch ?

Ordered it friday week with standard delivery. Unfortunately royal mail shipped it to Italy by mistake. It would have been thursday most probably without that.

No problem! There are images that wipe the whole system or ones that just upgrade without wiping, the one I linked you was the latter (same one I got, linked from the official forums).

Did anyone's OPO come with a screen protector already on it?

I'm not talking about the peel away plastic with all the writing on it. Underneath this.

I noticed when my phone was off and under direct light it had a slight blue tinge.

Other people seem to corroborate this.

I'm a bit paranoid now that I was given a refurb.

They started shipping with screen protectors within the last 2 months or so. Here ya go

Got mine today it came with a screen protector. It had lollipop installed so I rooted and flashed back to the 4.4.4 build (KTU84Q) which lots of people recommend for better battery life. Loving the phone it's stylish and quick.

Why do you want to do that?

If bootloader is unlocked you will have to relock it and then flash the stock ROM + recovery.

Mine arrived with the developers version of CM11. It can't update automatically.

It's happened to a good few people supposedly.

It is pretty simple to update manually anyway. I never in all my android phones updated ota I also downloaded the newest update and flashed it myself rather than wait for it to arrive OTA.

My oneplus arrived this week and also had CM11. Updated to CM12 and battery life has been excellent so far. I'm very new to cyanogenmod. Would I be right to assume they will continue to support the oneplus one for newer versions of android in the next few years ? Thanks

They will yes but not likely officially.

Ok I assume this would mean I'd need to root the phone to install software not officially supported ? What are people's opinions on oxygen os ? Is there much difference compared to CM12 ?

I meant in like 2 years they will not likely officially support the phone and it will be the same with oxygen os as well. Phone manufacturers only support phones for a set number of years and the Oneplus one is one year old so far, so it might only get officially one more year support if we are lucky.

God help you trying to get it supported now. I am trying to get my screen repaired through them and it's turning into a nightmare. I have no problem paying for the repair but to even get to that stage is a major chore. I'll be buying a new phone from another vendor soon if they don't get their asses in gear.

Great phone absolutely terrible after sales support though!

My daughter's OpO screen is cracked, I'm sure this has been asked on here before but what is the cheapest/best way to get it repaired?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,290 ✭✭✭alwald

Folks, I have been running the latest lollipop version on the OPO, I've noticed that all the notifications are working except the email ones such as inbox and mymail, I checked the phone settings and the apps settings and they are correct, any fix for this plz, cheers
