    The Dubs pushed right up on Donegal last year and paid heavily. The Dubs won the All Ireland the year before. They were clearly good enough. I think it was down to Gavin really in not dealing properly with Donegal tactically.

    Dreadful standard of football here, Donegal look punch drunk. At the same time if Donegal somehow come through this they'll improve a lot with the win behind them.

    Nobody of any decent standard to bring on in his place unfortunately. And that's the problem for Galway, shown up again today for the goals in particular. They're a goalie and six decent backs away from having a good team. There's huge potential from 8-15 but as long as they are reliant on backs like Bradshaw and Hanley they'll continue to fall well short at this level.

    Galway just didn't step up when it was there for the taking. Donegal looked like they were on the ropes at times but have the experience of winning these games, Galway don't.
