I'd block you too if I were him tbh

Yes he said Irish and British. But what has Britain got to do with it?
He's well known for blocking anyone who goes against what he says. He can't take criticism and is a tool of the highest order.

Gareth A Davies posted something on Facebook about McGregor breaking the jinx for Irish & British fighters.
I commented that he wasn't British so why was he trying to claim him.

Wasn't Cage Warriors a British owned and run promotion?

BT is a British owned and operated TV station and they've had him on, helped promote him a bit.

Your missing the point, Conor's not British.

Gareth Davies is a goon. Absolutely cannot stand him.

Disgusts me that he has managed to wangle himself into basically the UFC's media outlet for Europe.

With a lucky knee in fairness. Until that lucky knee it was fairly even

What was lucky? It's hardly like mendes shot for a double leg and accidentally head butted his knee. Aldo tried to knee him in the face and succeeded.

I'm not quite sure what your getting at here. If he was on an Israeli TV station would that mean he could say "Irish & Israeli fighters"??

Anyway, I don't want to derail the thread any further so let's just leave it there. I'm sure no one wants to read this.

He never said he was British.

He did used to fight on a British promotion and has gone on to win at a higher level.

Enjoyed the fight, I was undecided on mcgregor but once the fight started I was roaring for him ha!

They shouldn't be using British or United Kingdom in any association with an Irish sports personality. We are no longer in the United Kingdom and it's kind of an insult to infer somebody from there. I think it's clear to see that he may have said first fighter from the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland but he said United Kingdom first and was insinuating some connection of the good fortunes. We don't do it the other way around and we fought a war over it. Probably took that abit far but it annoys me :D

If anyone played the British card it was Dana regarding the fight fans.

"Actually there's more Irish people in Britain than there is Irish in Ireland"

    Discuss Dana? Lol

So an Irishman winning a belt has broke the jinx for British fighters.

    ok cool.

It was a bit concerning how easy Chad got him down at times and could keep him there, although Conors scrambling was brilliant. I thought Chad was going to have to work really hard at the start to get him down and keep down but there wasn't a lot of resistance. I'll put that down to the late opponent switch though.

Chads just about as good a wrestler as youre gunna find in the ufc though at the same time, no mad surprise he took Conor Down easy

I know but i defo thought going in that the first few attempts would have been shrugged off and Conor was going to spring back up pretty quickly. He got up most times from his brilliant scrambling.
