Malicious threats on staff members would certainly fall under the category of "more trouble than they're worth" I suppose.
Same old new old R*ngers fans.

Could you point me to the bit it says Rangers fans were involved. Of course sweeping generalisations are nothing new from tic fans in this thread

Do you think it's likely that Rangers fans were involved?

Do you think it's likely that Rangers fans were involved?

No more than maybe the associate of a certain ex board member for all I know and unless Deloitte say who is behind them or the people themselves step forward it will be conjecture no matter what anyone else says

Must've been Chelsea fans like that time in Manchester.

Deloitte staff had threats issued against them because of their involvement with rangers who else would it be. Ridiculous patter.

We have no proof as I say and it could have been any number of parties who made threats. Do you not find it strange that accompany the sheer size of Deloitte won't mention where the threats came from. Of course you and your ilk just find it easier to say "oh it was they big bad Rangers fans".
If it wazRangers fans and I haven't said it wasn't in any of this but if it was Deloitte should be reporting them to the police instead of playing silly buggers no sane bear wants morons threatening people

Same old Celtic fans, jumping to conclusions just because it suits their agenda of the big bad Rangers fans :)

    Hilariously predictable.

Well can I ask the question, are ye a shoe in for Division 1 next year or whatever it's called? Have ye strengthened the squad much, thinking about a punt.

Imagine jumping to such conclusions. It's always someone or something else to blame. Same old same (new) old.

Of course nothing is certain. But I would say 99% of the fans believe Warburton will win the league but it won't be easy. For example most knew it but some are only finding out the old regime dismantled the scouting network over the last three years. Which is certainly a handicap for the manager. I reckon we will go up but there will be hiccups along the way

See where is anyone. Laming anyone else. What we are sating that without any proof why should Rangers fans be blamed...unless someone is so bigoted they cannot see the woods for the trees

As it stands no, we still need to replace a few players.

I trust Warburton and Weir to have us play some good football, but I wouldn't rule out Hibs.

You're very quick to trot out that word aren't ya, any perceived criticism of any potential rangers fans is automatically labeled "bigoted", thereby attempting to disable comment. Too easy for ya to trot that one out.

This article says they quit due to threats from an anonymous source.
http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/home-news/deloitte-quit-as-rangers-auditors-over-threats-to-staff.131035916 So why are you accusing Deloitte of playing silly buggers if the threats were truly anonymous and were deliberately evasive?

What woods and what trees are you blathering about? You blathering about woods and trees just allows you to let on that you know more than the rest of us. I'll repeat, if Deloitte staff quit working with rangers due to threats then I think we can make a good guess where the threats came from. Most likely a disgruntled disturbed fan or fans, but fans none the less.

    Same old indeed.

Where did Deloitte say they were going to resign as Auditors? I must have missed that statement. Twice you've made reference to it but I can't find any statement from Deloitte about it.

What I can see is a letter from Deloitte dated 19th June 2015 which was sent to your current Board which states that they are "resigning as Auditors".

Was 19th June 2015 under the previous or current regime Jelle?

    Jelle?

    Jelle?

    You there pal?

Not like you to be quiet mo chara?

It's s logical conclusion to reach given the amount of organisations that have suffered abuse in recent years for telling the truth about your club.

I don't see Deloitte resigning from other clubs because of abuse received.

And you have the cheek to talk about anyone talking ****e. You accuse me of using the word bigot while attacking Rangers fans without a shred of proof. As for Deloitte being threatened anonymously I am pretty sure a world wide organisation would have uncovered some Rangers supporters if that was the case.

You did bandy about the word "bigot", probably hoping you could shut down discussion on the points raised. You will fail in that regard.
As for Deloitte being threatened anonymously I am pretty sure a world wide organisation would have uncovered some Rangers supporters if that was the case.

Maybe Deloitte were sick of it and just wanted to cut their ties without any further annoyance. I don't know for sure, I'm fairly sure you have no idea.

I didn't attack 'gers fans as a collective, don't be such a drama queen.

To try and shut down the conversation aye right you are. On but you did time and time again you generalise on a perceived notion you have of Rangers fans you of course will deny this but it is true hence you lashing out with the drama queen rubbish. I really do wonder just how much time you have ever spent in Rangers fans company because you seem to know next to nothing about us.

The announcement to shareholders comes three months after the latest half-yearly RIFC accounts said that the Rangers holding company had appointed London-based accountants Jeffreys Henry to act as independent reporting accountants after discovering Deloitte had announced an "intention to resign" following the June 2014 audit.

Acting chairman Paul Murray said at the time that the previous board "chose not to announce this nor did they find a replacement".

    http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/home-news/deloitte-quit-as-rangers-auditors-over-threats-to-staff.131035916

It's right there. Do you understand what 'intention to resign' means ? I'm sure you do, but I just want to make sure in case you wish to keep going around in circles.

And in March of this year the Sun also reported this:
RANGERS reported a loss of £2.6million to the London Stock exchange even though trading in their shares has been suspended and despite the club having no auditor.

Interim chairman Paul Murray revealed Deloitte had quit as auditors last year but the club had not announced the fact.

Murray and his fellow board members took over in March following a shareholder vote and are still trying to get to grips with the club's contractual obligations.

The figures show operating expenses of £16.1million and revenue of £13.1million, a sum hit by a significant drop in season ticket numbers, which were 24,589.

Murray said in a statement: "I wish to draw shareholders' attention to the fact that these interim results have been reviewed by Jeffreys Henry LLP. I have been informed by Deloitte, the existing auditor, that they informed the previous Board of their intention to resign following the June 2014 audit.

"The previous board chose not to announce this nor did they find a replacement for Deloitte.

"With limited time to have these results reviewed the board asked Jeffreys Henry to perform the exercise as independent reporting accountants, not auditors."

The AGM of December 2014 had a resolution in it to reappoint Deloitte as auditors, now why would that be there if they only resigned a short while back ?

    agmresults_2014.jpg

The fact that the votes were almost unanimously for the proposal and it never seemingly happened is just more proof of the previous board's deliberate mishandling of the club.

To try and shut down the conversation aye right you are.

Yes definitely. When you introduce a word like that into the conversation then it becomes skewed and sidetracked - deliberately I would say.
On but you did time and time again you generalise on a perceived notion you have of Rangers fans you of course will deny this but it is true hence you lashing out with the drama queen rubbish.

I didn't generalise. I picked up on a point you were trying to make which was predicated on Deloitte refusing or being unable to say exactly where the threats came from. The point is being made that we can have a fair idea where the threats came from - that is not an attack on 'gers fans in general or as a collective.
I really do wonder just how much time you have ever spent in Rangers fans company because you seem to know next to nothing about us.

What is this gibberish about? Talk about generalisations.

That's lovely... but you still haven't answered my questions...

Where did Deloitte say they were going to resign as Auditors?

Is it not odd that they went forward for Auditors AGAIN after saying that they were going to resign after June 2014 audit? They said they were going to resign... but they didn't, they went forward again... you're contradicting yourself.

Was the letter dated 19th June 2015 under the previous or current regime?

Broxi & Citizen, time to drop that line of conversation I think as it's derailing the thread. Making accusations about Rangers fans without any proof is only going to wind people up as is suggesting other posters may be bigoted so both of you please just drop it or take the conversation to PM thanks.
