You guys are trading as insolvent the last few years lurching from emergency loan to emergency loan. How the hell are you able to afford ANY transfer fees?

Shades of the club that got sold for £1 being able to buy Jelavic for £4m and win the league with it. Still Bitter CSC

Rangers fans surely must be cautious though? The last time you based a club's entire business plan around Celtic it didn't end too well.

Are we spending too much, or not enough lads? Make yer minds up.

I didn't say either way, I just asked were you not concerned about basing your financial model on Celtic when it proved disastrous in the past? Two different clubs with different incomes, brands, marketing reaches and audiences. I know our club takes into consideration the level of competition, and unfortunately has curbed its spending in recent years as a result, but we still have a very much independent business model and you can see the merits of it now.

First competitive game of the season today away to Hibs in the Petrofac Training Cup

RANGERS: Foderingham; Tavernier, Kiernan, Wilson, Wallace; Holt, Halliday, Law; Templeton, Waghorn, McKay

RANGERS SUBS: Kelly, McGregor, Aird, Thompson, Shiels, Clark, Miller

Honestly I reckon this could be a week or so to early for us but we will see. Just looking forward to hopefully seeing a difference in the style of football we play..

Hibs go one up decent shot from outside the box. New defence looking shaky but they are still gelling

Don't think many saw this coming.

Imagine what would have happened if Warburton had spent 10mins instead of 5 talking about Hibs :pac:

King asked for some cash and we had a whip-round in the pub.

That's a great policy. It worked for Bertie Ahern for years

Clearly not, considering you slept through most of it :)

That's a win that will carry huge confidence into the season opener

6 shots on target 6 goals. Was the Hibs keeper a double amputee :pac:

Shame about the Chelsea and Millwall fans right enough, but hope nothing comes of the flare incident. Disgrace of a law.

Any idea what sectarian songs were sung?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 974 ✭✭✭Intifada

Nope I didn't watch the game. I would actually question the validity of those arrests given how ridiculous the OB Act is, but from my experience the vast majority of their 'questionable' songs don't really fall in the grey area, so there is probably some merit to the arrests in this case.

Flare thing is a farce though.

While it's possible, note how the report says nothing about whose fans was arrested but no doubt BBC know more... ;)

What the media know in the UK and what they can print are two very different things these days.

That's a fair point, but since Rangers fans have quite a significant history of singing sectarian/racist songs and Hibs less so, it's also a pretty reasonable assumption to make. Happy to be proved wrong otherwise.

Talk about the game or performances and not songs sung lads, please.
