StumblingBlock have you ever been involved in any kind of Coaching/Mentoring Capacity with an adult team?? I'm not being smart here now but the argument your putting forward simply doesn't stand from my experience anyway. Minor form of the past 3 years does not reflect on U21 form it's not as straightforward as your suggesting. One interesting Stat granted its from the progression of Juvenile into Adult but no team that has won the Div 1 Tony Forristal competition has went onto win the All Ireland Minor competition 4yrs later, Tipp are the current team left to bust that statistic this year. You question Lyons ability and say the buck has to lie with him if we lose to Clare in Ennis, but forget to mention they have overcome a hurdle that for 5 years no waterford team could overcome not to mention we had previously never beaten Cork U21 since 1992. Now he has lost his goalkeeper Nolan an both other options are also lost to injury and to travelling, yet its his fault. I find that hard to believe how he was to predict such an outcome. Who in your opinion would you put on the Goal now?? We're not exactly flush with goalkeepers with them 3 out. The All Ireland winning minor team had an outfield player on goal!!

Henley was the substitute minor goalkeeper for Waterford last year. He played a full game in a very competitive challenge against Dublin that I was at and gave an excellent performance, including a couple of brilliant point-blank saves.

Speaking as someone who knows Jordan he will not be fazed by being thrown into the 21 set up. He is a confident young fella but not cocky. He is very skillful and has a great hand which is probably more important these days than being a good shot stopper which he also happens to be. He came on as a blood sub last year for the minors and saved a penalty.
When I heard he had been called up to the 21 panel I asked the Tallow manager what he was like and he spoke very highly of him and said that he trains very well and that he would have no fears of him in goal.

all of tipp must be laughing at us, releasing a song for a munster final. is it really needed. I dont recall songs being recorded for the 2009-2012 munster finals. Fair play to the lads who done it.

Dont see any harm in it at all and in fact I think its great that this Munster Final seems to be generating a lot of interest, there was certainly a danger in recent times that the Munster Final was becoming a bit of a non-entity which would be an awful shame.

Waterford are on a crest of a wave right now and the fact that it came from nowhere and have suprosed even themselves, this added to the fact that this Tipp team probably need to win a trophy to have something to show for the last 18 months, should lead to a great occasion.

Daragh Fives came thru the Dublin challenge OK according to WLR. Didn't hear any more of it. Think Shane McNulty is the only doubt ahead of the games coming up

Whatever about songs and flags ( we've seen it all before!! ) , People need to make an effort and
actually start traveling to matches again, starting with the Munster Final Sunday week..
Time for the Waterford Public to get behind the team and start making Noise again at matches..
Doesn't get much bigger or better than Munster Final day in Thurles!!

Clare did theirs from about 5 yards outside 21 yard line where the 2 cones were set up. Waterford did theirs on the 21 yard line. The Clare camera is set up so that it looks much further away but ya Waterfords was a little closer alright. On a side note Tom Devine is some size of a man.

its only a bit of craic anyway, good atmosphere in the waterford camp looks like club side in terms of camaraderie something that is very hard to get right at inter county level , confidence dose look very high in the camp

I think what may help also is that there's no huge favourite to win the senior club in Waterford. Its the most open and competitive i've ever seen it. There is also a big contribution from the intermediate clubs not just on the panel but in the team also. About 5 starters at the moment and 2/3 coming off the bench that play with intermediate clubs (and one junior club represented). The intermediate is very very competitive and the highest standard of hurling thats ever been in that grade in Waterford. An example of this is how well Ballysaggart and Cappaquin did when representing the county in Munster in junior and intermediate respectively. Where as normally at this grade club teams in the past would get well beaten in Munster.

There was one for Ronnie Drew at the 2008 semi final we won against Tipp I think. I know they put his picture up on the big screen there anyway because I have a photo of it somewhere.

Very whistle happy ref as we all know. Maurice will really have to be bring his A game again on the frees, Mahony was arguably the form freetaker in the country before his injury. Tipp obviously very clinical in this area with Callinan and Bubbles from distance.

Let's all get to Thurles good and early so we can cheer on the three-in-a-row chasing Limerick, something I mention without any desire to refer to their win last night over Cork who we were told were flying in training and all that jazz.

Will it be hard to pick ourselves up for a quarter final if Tipperary do beat us ??? Going by the crossbar challenge they are a very tite bunch of players and morale seems brillent, we're very fit and skilful too

I have that feeling it will be us vs Clare in the quarters.

If we win the Munster final it will be brilliant to be guaranteed a game in croke park but beating Tipperary in thurles will be the hardest task( cork done it in the 2006 Munster final)

What happens all the tickets gone to clubs that won't sell?
Will the ticket office outside Semple Stadium have stand tickets available on the day? Risky to wait?

Which terrace will be the Waterford side?

Killinan. It was in 2009, and generally tends to be. I assume it's smaller.

Tipp fans have the killian end and we have the town end according to tickets.ie last week

i think Waterford County Board missed out on this Daytripper thing in town. They could easily of put it on in Walsh park, the pitch is big enough for People and you could fit bars and food outlets there too. They could of run shuttle buses from the city centre and other parts of the town. it could of generated some money for the board

At the start of the year i really thought we would be travelling to a hurling match today, glad i was wrong
