Seiko Calculator(with alarm. Fanceh) C359-5000 made in August 1979. Their second calculator model. I got got it as a Christmas present that year.

    i358ww.jpg

Rebuilt and refreshed it with NOS genuine seals, crystal and polished and regrained the case this time last year almost to the day*. Finally sourced the strap for it. :) The alarm on it is mad loud and piercing. Real wake the dead time. I'm not one for nostalgia, but wearing it has evoked a couple of memories I didn't know I had.

*and a lot easier a job to do than on my other, Seiko's very first calculator watch brought out in 77. Much more modular. The 77 is more "hand built" and breaks down into many more parts and the teeny calc buttons are loose in the case. Yea. Gets the oul tweezer skills honed I can tell you.

Wibbs, that is awesome! I would have killed for one of those about 20 years ago ( id still do pretty scary things to get hold of it!)

My wearer today is a little more pedestrian, OVM on brown leather NATO.

I so much prefer the Milsub/Omega seamaster 300* handset on Submariner watches. Merc hands leave me completely cold TBH. What has always surprised me is why Rolex don't release homage to their Milsub.

*when the UK were using both the Rolex and Omega dive watches there was a bit of crossover to get the best out of both. The Rolex got the Omega handset and the Omega got the screwdown crown(as too many were coming back flooded from operations relying on gaskets).

Had pre-ordered this (Aevig Corvid Mk2 full lume) and was a little underwhelmed when it arrived. Wore it for two weeks solid on holiday and have grown to like it.

My humble contribution, Timex Weekender with Navy and Tan NATO strap. Arrived this morning from Amazon, first time I've worn a watch in ages. I can easily see this one becoming a gateway drug!

I'm half thinking of selling this one but after wearing it today for the first time in ages I might just change my mind. Raymond Weil Tango.

It's a radiomir pilot. You can get them in polished or brushed cases. Seconds at 6 or 9, and with a big dome plexiglass crystal.

What Size wrists do you have?

Unsure of the 47mm size for my small girly wrists

Who did you get to do it?? Great looking watch.

Went the AD route via Keanes.

Not sure if do it again as its extortionate but at least all OEM parts are used.

Automatic Speedmaster ! Just back from service under warranty with the AD. I had planned on selling this but.....I do like it! size is perfect as I find the pro too big these days (have a 44mm Steinhart in coming so that is gonna last about a day I suspect).

So I actually got the chance to give the PO the once over after its service yesterday..........to say i am pissed off is an understatement.

As you unscrew the crown to set the date/time the date advances by a day, sometimes two days.....as you unscrew it! WTF! Did they even test the watch before releasing it? Really annoyed. It's was gone 8 weeks and for five hundred euro it really is a poor show.

No paperwork either. The AD said they will put in a request for the report and that will take 10 days. Did they really think I was going to hand over 500 quid and want no supporting documentation.

I am like a demon to be honest.
