Yeah sounds great, it's making me think I need a windows 10 tablet as soon as they become available...

If they manage to get the tv to work while you stream games to your device, it'll be savage.

no more farting around playing hearthstone on my phone while herself watches greys anatomy.

You could just have the TV not running through the Xbox, so you could kick off the streaming via the Xbox, then switch the source back to TV.

Hell, if HDMI duplication is possible, you might even be able to send the TV signal through the Xbox AND direct to the screen.

You can already do that if I follow what you mean, you mean watch TV on another device while someone is gaming ?

Nope, I mean about using this new Xbox to Windows 10 game streaming feature, at the same time as someone is using the telly that the Xbox is connected to, in order to watch actual TV.

I'd be grateful if someone could invite me to the Preview Program for Xbox One. Very interested in getting beta releases and especially the forthcoming Windows 10 on the XB1.

    Many thanks!

For those interested in recording your games (I'm not at all), then this news might interest you, the new update will enable 60Fps recording, at least for games that support it.

It's not out of the Preview yet, they seem to have introduced a load of bugs with the Wireless App, and need to squash all of them before it's released. Some of them were quite serious, like multiplayer not working for some games while the Wireless Display App is installed.

Latest preview update was last night, just more bug fixes.

Ah, totally sorry, I searched for your gamer tag and couldn't find it, and then totally forgot about it.

I'm searching for "FMS iADDICT", and can't find anything.

    Sorry again!

Next preview update will be rolling out in the next few days, with a headline feature of digital tuner support in Ireland and other countries. Also included will be bug fixes for the wireless display App.

Separate to that, the Xbox App on the Windows 10 preview will include a network test for game streaming, not actual streaming yet, just a test. Anyone on Windows 10 with an Xbox One should run the test for their metrics.

    See here.

From what I've heard if the wireless display app didn't work for you then game streaming isn't going to work either. The hardware requirements etc. for wireless display are not excessive by any means but could rule out many 2/3 year old pc's / laptops with an on board intel gfx card. For a desktop in that situation it would be a €20-30 bottom of the ladder upgrade to get a card to support it

Got around to it there, could be a while before Microsoft get around to sorting you out.

    Windows 10 is out July 29th :D

    http://www.pcworld.com/article/2928727/its-official-microsoft-says-you-can-download-the-final-version-of-windows-10-on-july-29.html

Hopefully Xbox streaming to W10 will be on it from day 1, but I'm looking forward to it either way.

Probably find out all the details at E3 :)

    Legend thanks!

Couldn't be dealing with the UK region setting for the OTA tuner, and not being able to purchase!

    Hugely appreciate the invite :)

Mines chugging away on a 2gb update here.

Edit: Just more under the hood stuff and fixes it seems.

It's usually a lot smaller. While there are updates where Microsoft had pushed out a full two GB system update, it's often that people have unknowingly missed an update, causing them to stuck down a 2 GB catch up update.

The recent update was a full patch, no getting around it.
