That's brilliant, sadly Amped 3 (just bought a copy) with 28 votes probably won't be too high on the list I'd say :pac:

Seems to be, I would say that 1st party Microsoft titles would be a no-brainer, but I would say the likes of Capcom would push back on it, they are making a killing on these HD remasters

The 100 titles are all games that Microsoft controls, so most the games being voted on are most likely the ones that they'll look to add on top of that 100 first. It could be done concurrently, so it might launch with more than 100.

Fallout 3 is on the list to vote for, and we already know thats one thats coming as it's free with Fallout 4 on release. I believe it was mentioned / show at the e3 yesterday.

Maybe I'm missing something but I'm already running windows 10 preview program and I've an Xbox one. My XBOX app sees the Xbox one but it doesn't show me the streaming option?

Any ideas how I can stream my games to it?
BTW they're both on the same network.

    Is your Xbox App 5.6.something?

Should be on the "Connect to your Xbox" screen, above and to the right of the connect automatically checkbox

Yeah, Fallout 3 is coming free with Fallout 4.

Rainbow 6 Vegas 1 & 2 will come free with Rainbow 6 Siege.

Peter Moore said that the recent sports titles from EA will be coming.

As its running is an emulator the publishers don't need to do anything other than approve it to be distributed.

(anything that uses peripherals won't work - even the old Kinect)

Yeah I know the screen it should be on.
My app is only on 4.7 I think.

edit: you were right the Xbox app had an update. Streaming button now available but I get a message saying either my app or console needs an update. Hmmm

First 360 game I tried on the xbox one was N+, the sound crapped out but other than that it seemed to play mostly fine. Did seem to be a bit of slowdown in some places.

Wow so supposedly you can make the streaming from xbox to windows 10 work to a windows 10 anywhere in the World as long as you have a decent upload speed.

    Instructions here:

Is the streaming to laptop part of the preview beta thing or if I install windows 10 and the app will it work?

Requires both Windows 10 and the preview.

That makes sense. The 360 controller doesn't work on the Xbox One so I don't see how any other form of controller/peripheral would work even with backwards compatibility. If anyone was to get annoyed about that, I'd be heavily confused

I wonder if we're going to see more games added to the Backwards Compatibility list between now and December, or are Preview Members going to be stuck with the 20+ games up until that point?

Some load of class games are being voted in on Xbox's website, with Red Dead Redemption being top pick (considering the fact that it's not available on anything except 360 and PS3, I'm not surprised). Link Here for Voting Page

I sound ungrateful, I know. One has to ask though :)

Update: Ah, that voting page specifies that "With new games added to the roster every month, now you can play both generations of games on one console. Experience the greatest games lineup in Xbox history — exclusively on Xbox One.". So it's every month. Again, though. I suppose I can still ask is it every month past December, or every month starting now?

Please vote for NHL 3v3 Arcade - What a game!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,856 ✭✭✭MiskyBoyy

Okay, great news. You guys can actually play any of the current compatible 360 games as long as you own it digitally. WITHOUT being a preview member.

    Here's how:

    Just a warning however:

"There is always a chance that anything in preview will render your console inoperable. If you are in preview, Microsoft takes care of it, if you aren't in preview I'm guessing they won't fix it and may even say your warranty is void since you technically aren't authorized to run the prerelease software."

I have preview but haven't noticed anything different. Is the dashboard supposed to look different? What can I actually do now that I couldn't do before enrolling to the preview programme?

You can turn on your Xbox One via Smartglass now.

Wireless display app should be there if you search for it, media player beta though that might be for everyone now? . Game streaming if you have a windows 10 build pc.

Most of the stuff in the current preview is under the bonnet stuff. There are also the 360 games if you have any of the ones in the preview.

Edit: We'll likely get the overhauled dashboard before long but I'm guessing not before windows 10 is released, so maybe August at the earliest?

The first August update is out on preview, with only minor changes, nothing user facing yet.

Highly unlikely you'll see any changes until the threshold build is pushed out.

Add on's section in games looks new, actually showing new stuff instead of the dying light skins that have usually been top of the list.

Microsoft have made a change to a few of the Backward Compatibility titles that requires a reinstall.
We’d like to let you know about an upcoming change that will require action on your part. If you have installed any of the titles listed below, please read on for info on how to keep playing:
    • Viva Piñata
    • Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise
    • Perfect Dark
    • Perfect Dark Zero
    • Kameo: Elements of Power
    • Jetpac Refuelled
    • Banjo-Kazooie
    • Banjo-Tooie

If you have any of these titles, you’ll need to uninstall and reinstall the title to continue playing.

Wait until it doesn't work before reinstalling, otherwise you could waste your download.

    MOD NOTE:
Moved invite requests and responses to the "Preview Invite Thread".

Please use that thread for anything to do with getting invited to the preview, or you'll confuse me!

    Thanks.

Considering they said they only needed permission to add backwards compatibility, I'm disappointed that in after a month they still haven't had any significant games added.

I'm not expecting all of the top games from the voting or anything specific, but I was hoping for at least some "proper" games by now.
The original list only contained one game the average gamer would consider playing.
When they said it didn't take much to get it onto the One, I was hoping that a few notable games were added by now.
Would have been nice to get through this dry patch.
The way this is going its likely the upcoming One games will hit before anything good comes to Backwards.
