    Beaten by Hibbeler :pac:

    Quite an experimental lineup.

Sorry but why are Meath playing an experimental lineup at this stage of the season? Surely the time for experimentation is well and truely passed and we should be going with close to championship team.

One or two changes involving new additions to the panel and giving the subs a run in the second half perhaps.

Is this the last challenge before the Wicklow game?

I would assume that some of it would have to do with college exams being on at this time.

Not at full strength. About 7/8 that you'd expect to start against Monaghan.

Hurlers play Kildare, again, in Trim in the Christy Ring quarter final on Saturday afternoon. They're aiming to make their 4th Christy Ring semi final in a row.

Minors are drawn away to Longford in the Leinster MFC semi final at the end of June.

Where and when do the meath juniors play?

Good win for the minors. I've a feeling Dublin won't win it this year. They seem a little off the pace. Massive opportunity for the young royals. Longford will be tough but I reckon the winner of that will win the final.

They play on the 26th in Rathoath as far as I'm aware. Against Carlow

Decent result for St. Pat's against O'Mahony's this evening, rpurfield.
Impressive win for St. Colmcille's in the IFC against Syddan.

Best of luck to the hurlers tomorrow. A win will probably mean an away trip to Derry in the semi final. They seem to be peaking at the right time so hopefully they can reverse last season's semi final result.

Down to 14 men losing 3.19 2.17. Few mins left. Disappointing.

Worryingly, none of Menton, Gillespie, Kevin Reilly, Newman, Paddy O'Rourke or McEntee played with their clubs over the weekend. Joey Wallace went off injured in Ratoath's game.

Very impressive win for Kells over Na Fianna.

Juniors leading 3-10 to 6 points.

Easy win for the juniors: 4-19 to 0-8.

Big win for Ultans in the IFC over Trim. Trim could be in a spot of bother now.

Shane O'Rourke is out for 6 weeks with a broken hand. Menton and Newman are also doubtful for the Wicklow game.

We'd fill Navan Hospital with all these injuries.

We have supposedly played 2 challenge games in the last week which we drew with and beat Galway and Roscommon respectively. No idea of the teams for either. Biggy got 1-7 against Roscommon supposedly.

Supporting your team predates your marriage by a few decades so no contest.
Getting married next September. Unfortunately as a Meath fan i dont have to worry about any clashes that month.

Biggy's performances this year have been very impressive. Considering that he's playing as a midfielder, often slotting back in front of the D when we're forced to defend, then you have to give credit where it's due. He takes plenty of flack from Meath supporters but if we were able to get similar scoring returns from our forwards then we would be a serious force. As things stand we're over-dependent on him, O'Dowd's running game seems to have been built with Biggy in mind and our forwards remain starved of decent ball.

No real expectations this summer, give Dublin a scare and develop the young blood and I'll be happy.

We shouldn't need it, but if we did need anymore motivation for sunday, we got it with that qualifier draw, Armagh or Donegal.

That draw is ridiculously lopsided. In the second round the A side will add (most likely) Fermanagh, Laois/Kildare (whoever wins the replay), Clare and Sligo. The B side will probably get Derry/Donegal/Armagh, Tipperary, Galway and the loser of our Leinster semi final (which is hopefully not us).

Either way we'll almost certainly be looking at an extremely tough round 4 qualifier again if this year goes like the last 3 years while the A side will get a handy draw.
