    Evening folks.

Read quite a bit of this thread, (not all 78 pages!) and I'm very close to ordering this phone.

I'm currently using a Nokia E72 (E-Series FTW!) and it's been a fantastic phone for me - does WhatsApp, YouTube, Email and the normal phone operations, however slowly but surely most applications I use are winding down support for Symbian, and these phones in particular. WhatsApp still push updates to us, which I have a lot of respect for, however the day is fast approaching where I need to upgrade.

Currently with Three on a pre-pay deal (€20 a month) and have to say, I tend to shake my heads at some of the prices of smartphones now a days, iPhone, HTC M9 etc. However, I'm willing to spend a decent amount for a good quality phone.

This has led me to the OnePlus One. Seems to have great spec and have heard plenty saying it offers incredible value for its price.

I just have a couple of questions for you owners.

Daft question I suppose, but works well on the Three network?

Final question and think it's been answered by a previous poster, but just confirming - these phones are shipped from the UK, order tonight and could probably expect by Tuesday or so?

Thanks lads, think I'll take the plunge :)

4g on Three if it's on your deal, but otherwise yeah, I've got excellent coverage everywhere - Dublin City, North County, South County and Bray are my usual haunts, but I've had the same in Waterford too.

Tues a good bet for delivery alright.

Don't forget its a bank holiday in Ireland and UK so Tuesday delivery won't happen imo but no reason it would take anymore than a week to arrive.

Ouch those batt stats aren't great. Maybe a good thing I haven't got the update so.

I updated over the weekend. Yesterday I got as good as I did with KitKat but today I hammered the battery, down to about 12pc after 12hrs, I did do a lot of browsing while travelling and at the hospital, much more than I usually would. It seems to be about the same as before for me but it's been less than a week

My battery was fecked before the update anyway. Is a factory reset much hassle?

Ah got the update to both One's last night, have only updated one so far (for testing reasons) So far so good on the updated one... Now just gotta un do the mess they made of the default theme and put it back the way it was.

I was close to ordering too, but as a precaution I checked to see if a successor was in the works. Just wondering if the One Plus Two announcement in June is ridiculous or possible?

Don't want to order now to see a price cut in a month.

Announcement is possible, but release isn't until Q3 at earliest I think

Expect massive delays on anything they announce aswell.

Will also save a bit more money from selling my old handset once it's unlocked when my contract runs out. (I bought the OnePlus early so I could get my M7 repaired under contract. They gave me a refurb handset so I'm hoping to get at least €150 for it when I unlock it.)

I'm of doing the EXACT same as you except my contract is on Vodafone til July. Gave the missus my m7 and she broke the charging port, how do I get it refurbished under contract like you?

They're just about making profit at current price. Barely. There will be no price cut for the Oneplus One.

The issue with my phone was a known fault with the camera sensor, so it was covered under the HTC 24 month warranty.

I'm not sure how they'll look at something that probably just comes under damage/wear and tear unfortunately. Doubt it'll be covered under warranty :(

Did a factory restore yesterday and the battery seems much improved. At 75% now with it off charge since 10, whereas yesterday it was 45% at 2pm off charge since 8.

I haven't messed with any of the wakelocks yet either so that could be an option as well.

Edit: Does anybody know what Vodafone APN I should be on. There's two showing up now

    Live.Vodafone
    ISP.vodafone

    Thanks for the help.

Updates from Cyanogen are guaranteed for another year at least. After that someone will almost certainly maintain nightlies for the foreseeable future.

You should purchase through the oneplus site. You can purchase elsewhere, but you'll be relying on a third party for support if you do.

Awesome, are these phones coming from the states or asia? Will there be any customs issues, also do they all ship with a US pin charger??

They are assembled in Asia and if ya buy from the OPO site they ship with a 3 pin charger if you want. Mine got shipped from Germany I think. I had it within 48hrs via Parcel Motel.

    No customs issues for me.
