    I'm not sure myself :o

Well I'm basing that in prices I paid them for a new backbox on one Alfa and a new midbox in another both were 140 built and fit your sounds a bit more work but it's a guide for you :)

Yeah it is a bit of work alright, i think i'll get the battery moved first to save it from the heat, and see from there, either way a 3" exhaust is going on!

Also, i fired you a pm there earlier on just if you missed it

When I was at Sohans they wanted 320 euro for a cat back and backbox, I ended up just getting the back box off them but looking back I should have went catback. So hope yours is not much more expensive.

    I'm not sure myself :o

i got a 2.5" catback system with an x pipe , 2 backboxes and 2 tips for 600 so id imagine about half that for one side.

Plus if they are supplying the cat that is an extra to add on as well. As cats can be quite expensive.

Well I was nearly in a crash today, I stopped less than a foot away from the back of the car in front. So there I was driving with a convoy of cars, came into the out skirts of town, hot bítch walking along, me checking out her ass, some car in middle of convey decides to slow down to pull in to the side of road, I didn't know as I was checking this one out, and last second i turn my eyes forward all cars stopped and I jammed on the brakes, close call or what.

I nearly had a full head on collision on the way home from work on Sunday evening. Car trying to pass cyclist so on my side of the road I come around bend here is the car coming straight for me I braked hard to a crawl and he just managed to get back in there was very little it. Weird how close ones like that really make you stop and think.

Close call for me too, was in the overtaking lane on the M50, I was there as I was heading for the malahide exit North bound which is the only right hand side exit on the M50 Northbound, I was behind a truck carrying petrol and all of a sudden smoke started coming from its back tyres, so I moved over as clse to the wall as I could and the whole M50 was at a stand still....why?

well its because there was an accident further up on lane 1 and all the traffic was slowing down to have a good look, the truck driver had to jump on the brakes as the dopes in front of him all stopped to have a look.

Lads, I decided to make a video of the rattling noise I'm constantly moaning about.
I hope you all can hear and maybe give some advice cause 3 mechanics here haven't been able to do jack **** and 1 even suggested that it was normal.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJRg7F5JH5U&feature=youtu.be

The moment you hear a metally clanging noise then that is the rattle I'm on about and only ever happens during acceleration.
    Thanks :(

I was in Dublin today. Not sure where we were exactly, but drove by a Mercedes place, filled to the brim with vans, small and large.

    CCR_Vans_crop.png

And I noticed something that I don't think I ever quite twigged before. Every van there, as well as almost every other van I seen on the road, including VW vans...

    VW-VANS.jpg

Despite these being premium / "high end" brands (especially Mercedes!), I couldn't help but notice that they all shared the same, horribly ugly, unfinished back and front bumpers. I could understand this on a Fiat, or a Ford or a Peugeot (or other middle of the road brands), but every Mercedes having those bumpers looked, to be honest, crap. Doesn't set them apart at all. Surely it'd cost feck all to finish the bumpers?

I know they're working vehicles, but I'm surprised that a high end brand isn't trying to separate itself a bit. It's a small thing, and most people probably wouldn't even twig it, but I'm sure subconsciously the general public would think a van with colour coded bumpers looks nicer (even if they couldn't quite put their fingers on why they feel that way).

Mercedes vans really aren't to be associated with their cars. They are terrible. My Dad has a number of 2007 Sprinters and they're all rusty in one way or another. The older ones were even worse.

Of course you could spec them up, but vans aren't bought by private buyers and businesses aren't really in the market for making the vans look a bit nicer with colour coded bumpers

Well surely some businesses do care about the appearance if they're buying a Mercedes logo to begin with? Otherwise surely you'd kit yourself out with a cheaper brand?

I do see a lot of Sprinters in poor condition, alright.

Saw a mercedes van badged up as mercedes 24hr service vehicle today. Absolutely rotting in front of me.
    Biodegradable vans.

Not really, a Sprinter starts at around the same price as a Crafter.

Wonder is it the same one I seen, at around 7:30pm in Drogheda. Looks like it's not being used in it's official role anymore (they'd hardly let it out looking the way it does?!)

Well you're back to VW there again, though. Another brand that consider themselves to be 'above the rest' and present themselves as a premium brand with a 'high end' feel to their services (well, that's how they seem to market their cars, anyway).

Wouldnt it do it all the time though? on idle its normal

Funny that's you's mention sprinters being rough. I saw a 141 sprinter today with the rear doors rusting at the hinges. I didn't know something could rust so quickly. Maybe it was damaged and then rusted! The rear step was also bent from people getting in and out. It was a couriers van so heavily used I suppose.

The back of the new transit is terrible looking. Front end looks cool and American

My relevant Alfa started off normal and got progressively worse
in non motoring news I've to go to the dentist I fear such things I'd rather break down on the m50
