    Well there's a couple of reasons I was expecting it. Firstly, there's a pretty short shelf-life for pro's - not many of them last beyond 22 or 23. Nade first started to mention retirement almost a year ago - he said he was considering it. Since then, he has solidified his potential career as a full time streamer aside from competitive COD. He also built the best possible team he could around himself - he still failed to win COD champs - the biggest pay day in the year. Basically, if he couldn't win Champs this time, he never will - and he has nothing else left to achieve. I don't really see why he would bother grinding out small time UMGs and medium level MLG events for a whole extra year when he can make even more money for a lot less hard work just by streaming and making YT videos. The only question for me was whether he wait until the next X-games - which has no cash prize, and he's already won it. I think the time was right.

    In terms of who I expect to come in, I fully expect Teepee to get bumped up to OG, and Mboze to finally return to ON. It's no more than Mboze deserves, he has consistently outplaced Nation with pick-up teams. At this point Karma should suck up whatever supposed ideas he has about being better than him.

    Its Karma.

    Teepee is being dropped from ON. Doubt Mboze will get put on that roster. Lots of changes gonna happen now. New faze red squad looking like it will be zooma, huke, enable & slasher, so two teams now with 4 slayers.

    Rostermania is at it's most bizarre tonight. Apparently, Optic Nation are trying to trade Censor to Prophecy in return for Mboze.

    Utterly bizarre.

    The good news for me is that Proofy's found a great team and org, it seems to be the new nV team of Proofy, Teepee, Saints and Loony. All except Loony are confirmed AFAIK.

    Jurd has started streaming, you can watch him play league matches most weekday nights on mlg.tv/jurd

    This weekend is UGC Niagara, hard to believe it's been a year since the last one. The scene is in it's usual post-champs hangover, the only big news really is that Envy have gutted their line-up, replacing it with Teep, Proofy, Loony, and the only remaining player Saints. However, Saints with his fairly well-known immigration issues, will not be travelling to UGC Niagara, so Merk will be taking his place. Envy have been phenomenal online since the formation of the new team, with a 12 game win streak.

    Finally, rumours are rising that the competitive scene will be switching to PS4 for Black Ops 3. The reaction generally being that while additional investment sucks, it is definitely the superior console.

    They are just rumors and anothing more Microsoft and MLG signed contract for additional two years earlier this year so can't see it swapping to Playstation anytime soon.

    They don't need to though many of the competitive FPS controller sellers like Scuff and SharQ could easily do it, but theres obviously some reason they stick with the PS4 as well as the Xbox "stock" controller

    The first decent game of this event is about to start, Envy vs. tK on mlg.tv/ugcniagara

    Been an awful stream so far, really poor audio and random drop-offs. Casters doing well in the circumstances.
