Grantland boxing podcast very good this week - http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=12548655

Great interview with Robert Garcia. Talks a good bit about the differences between preparing a fighter to face Floyd or Manny.

Canelo is underrated, he's a very talented boxer with excellent skills.

I don't agree with the underrated remark there, he was obviously world class when I seen him v Matthew Hatton in '11. Absolute unbelievable offensive fighter that will have a place someday with the greats imo.

He was far too young to be in with Floyd, but he'll learn from that.

Sorry if this has been asked, but will there be a HBO 24/7 for this fight ?

Apparently Hbo have prevented an official 24/7 or Showtime All Access to be made or shown.

I had initially heard that an hour long all access video was to be made?

That's an absolute shame. Mayweather Pacquaio 24/7 would have been sensational.

Not so sure. I found the shows far too predictable with Floyd. Same old money this and money that and eating burgers at 0400 hrs and talking about hard work and dedication with his team of tits hollering TBE every time he farts near them.

Still, I would prefer they had done some sort of documentary promotion. Wets the appetite so to speak.

What's your thoughts on how this fight goes on the night mate?

See post 571. I am sure there are more posts from me with my views.

Simple: Manny hasn't the physicality to impose himself enough on Floyd. This will be a mid range battle that he cannot win.

Sorry didn't kop that post previously.

Yeah I can't see anything but a points win for Floyd.... lots of bobbing and fast hot-air hands from Manny.... but nothing concrete hitting home.

Floyd nicking the rounds mostly and amazing defense shining through yet again.

It takes speed and size to bother Floyd, hence why IMO Khan is a more dangerous and bothersome opponent for Floyd. He has height, reach and range, as well as very fast hands. Manny has the fast hands, but they will be of little use from mid range. Floyd will control the range in the fight. He will not let Manny settle into a comfortable attacking range. Guys like Oscar and Margarito and Clottey were far too stationary and cement like when Manny was unloading on them.

Guys like the late Vernon Forrrest or Hearns had the tools and physicality to be really bothersome to Floyd, who himself is not all that big a WW.

What do you think Pac would have to do to take the fight Walsh? Do you see any scenario, any way he could approach it, where he can get the win?

I would lean with a lot of angled and varied movement, side to side darting in and out as best he can. Straight lines he will fall short and get countered and beaten to the punch from range. He needs to be busy, but not reckless busy, or busy for busies sake. He is in the biggest fight of his life, so go out and give it his all. Don't be too cautious. It's all about the right mix of aggression and caution. I can see no way he wins by being close to Floyd, as in them physically touching and inside. Razor fast 1-2 combinations are his best chance; punching in flurries will leave him exposed too much. But, he needs to mix the 1-2s up, and not make them too predictable and readable. Very tough task. He will have to come to terms and solve Floyd' left hook and lead left jab to the mid section. If not he will be kept at bay for too long without being able to get his offense going.

Sounds very similar to what Freddie Roach said was their plan. In and out with 2 punch combinations with angles.

There you have it. I think it's his best plan. Combos in 3s/4s and 5s may work against stiff and robotic punchbags, but not Floyd, and not when you don't have the physical size to make it happen.

Hearns would have beaten him all day long I think. I've always thought Paul Williams would have been a serious test of Floyd too.

They have it listed on their site anyway under the 'what's on' section http://www.woolshedbaa.com/dublin/whats-on/other-sports/

May be worth giving them a ring or dropping an email to confirm.

Yeah Shannon Briggs to intervene with The Undertaker and take Mayweather's undefeated streak via a knockout punch from brass knuckles. Al Haymon is sacked and Don King is the new General Manager of Boxing. His first order is a ladders match between Wlad and Briggs for a shot at Mayweather's "money in the bank" p4p slot with Showtime.

Sorry for spoilers guys, but I'm sure everyone knew this already

Pacquiao will be ko'd. Early. I know mayeather hasn't KO'D anyone recently but Pacquio was hurt badly by Marquez. Same thing will happen again. He's going to get frustrated.

Floyd will break a hand ala the hernandez fight before he'll ko anyone let alone Manny. Floyd purposely doesn't ko people, he can't unless he wants to have two useless hands for the rest of his life

Mayweather by ko/tko in rounds 1-4 is 22/1 with Ladbrokes. You should load up on it before everyone else does and the odds shorten.

    Free money afterall....

Got confirmation from the Woolshed there. They're staying open right through the night and will be showing the fight.
