Interesting to see how much Floyd has rolled back the 'Money' persona. Either he's trying to restore a positive image in the hopes of getting involved with PBC (can't do that unless he's palatable for the sponsors), or he knows he's near the end and doesn't want to be remembered for the obnoxious money persona.

Whatever the reason, it was almost like watching a Mayweather imposter at the press conference. Not the same man at all.

The fight sells it's self. There were always times in the lead up to fights where he'd forget himself and drop the douchebag act, in particular in the last couple of days before the fight where essentially the promo work was done and dusted. This is the real floyd mayweather. All (OK... maybe not all, but most) of the obnoxious stuff is to drum up interest and ppv dollars. Pulling an Ali basically, although without quite the same wit. Any time I've seen him talk when it hasn't been in the direct run up to a fight and he wasn't in full on promo mode, he comes across as quite a humble, down to earth, decent kinda bloke with the utmost respect for other fighters and the sport of boxing . He's got quite an endearing, vulnerable way about his personality under it all.

Yeah, for a serial and unapologetic woman beater he is pretty endearing. I melted when he posted his girlfriend's abortion documents on his instagram page.

I had a feeling they would have it. Ringside has been all about this fight for the past few weeks. No way they would have been that into it had they not got the deal to show it.

    PPV: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-3009536/Floyd-Mayweather-vs-Manny-Pacquiao-shown-Sky-broadcasters-beat-BoxNation-right-300m-200m-mega-fight-price-set-19-95.html

The usual box office price so. I was afraid they would chance their arm and raise the price

Just announced on SKY Sports that they will be available for 20GBP or 25euro if you made the purchase before May 1.

It's a steal compared to the 99 dollars that the U.S. viewers will have to shell out.

20 sterling is their threshold. They won't go above that for their viewers.

As far as I know Sky Box Office is not available for non Sky customers. I could be wrong, but I don't believe that UPC can avail for the Box Office. Maybe a thread in the tech forums here would confirm.

How? The born have the chance not to procreate, the unborn had no choice.

I'm not debating the pros and cons of justifng wife beating on the boxing forum

Anyone know if any pubs across Ireland will be showing the bout? Only a casual fan of the sport so it's hard to justify shelling out 25 quid for one fight (albeit a huge, history-making one). I realise the lateness of the fight due to the time difference will mean it's unlikely though.

Ah I thought as much alright. Will just have to round up a few to split the cost of it I'd say.

watching Vegas cards with the lads has frequently ended with most of us so legless come 5am that we could be watching celebrity death match and not know the difference;)

Very exiting though when a bunch of you have been up all night and had a fair few beers and buffer gets on the mike to do his thing;)

Delighted Sky got it and that it's the usual PPV price, the undercard looks pretty thin so far but I guess there wouldn't be much money left to go round when the two big boys take their slice.

Wonder if Lennon & Buffer will have this gig jointly like Lewis v Tyson?
