Anyone know of any bars in Dublin that will show the fight? Mate wants to watch it in a bar. Cheers.

As far as I know early houses don't open early on a Sunday, unless it's a bank holiday, so you may find somewhere, but in my experience early houses are pretty rudimentary and they don't typically need frills like live sports to draw in their particular clientele, which used to, on occaision, be me;)

The intro and closing montages were incredible. Really well done.

Loved Manny's line about giving a man waiting to be executed whatever he asks for :D

Very interesting programme. I enjoyed both of them.

So Bayless announced as referee and Floyd Sr. has turned on Ariza. The latter is very significant. I dunno why but I still think this fight could be called off.

FFS you could be right there.

No contract between the promoters and the MGM has been signed...Arum refused to sign the one issued last week. No tickets for sale....all a little fishy.

Anybody else getting very bored of Freddie Roach constantly trash talking in the build up to this?

Jaysus it's every other day now..

I just wanna see the two lads in the ring now...It's genuinely one fight that doesn't need to be sold via trash talking or anything or gimmicks.

    No doubt, very odd.

If this fight does not go ahead because of the issues you've highlighted - I dare say Boxing as a sport will be seriously wounded, a catastrophic break-down beyond repair.

The sport needs this bout so badly.

Not like him either - he really wants it though, maybe the nerves are getting to him a little?

Something else I came across somewhere today was that Manny must be in court a few days before the fight concerning allegations about Ariza, his former coach and Floyds current coach. Right before the fight? Why would you? It's like the fight itself is completely out of priority with everything here

Wow, some odd goings on, and I have to say I am not all that surprised. The whole fight and its build up has been quiet and very under the radar.

    Has the under-card been completed?

it could well turn out to be a damp squib of a fight

I said that from the start. Just something odd and insincere about the whole negotiation and build up, added to the styles of both men, and yes, a damp squib is a realistic proposition. When there's so much money and egos involved then nothing can be taken as 100 % genuine!

Lets hope this fight is not overshadowed by bs of the politics which seems to be clouding heavily now.

There is something about bob arums face that makes be wary of him. I would not trust him as far as i could throw him. He hates not calling all the shots in this. And is finding somerhing to dig his heels over.

Maybe mods can merge this. No point having multiple threads for the same thing. This link is already in a thread.

Done. The report button in the post can be used to alert us to things like this too, doesn't mean you are reporting the poster and helps us catch stuff. Cheers!

Some bombshell dropped today. People were asking why the tickets hadn't been distributed yet, and it turns out they haven't even been printed. Reason being that the fu*king contracts haven't been signed!

More nonsense really, it's nothing to do with the fight, a few side things that one person controls instead of someone else, it won't matter, the fight won't fall away now.

You'd imagine there's just waaay too much money involved now for it not to happen.

BTW, I'm in the States at the moment. Bars around here showing the fight are charging 40 - 100 dollars cover charge....
