Id say I'll have to stick petrol stickers all over my first petrol car when I get one for the first few weeks anyway :) as I've literally only ever bought diesel all along from day one learning to drive. The only thing I've ever put petrol in is a Jerry can for the lawnmower/ power washer.

Well a diesel nozzle wont fit in a petrol neck and if you manage to fit it in (heh) you were very determined

Green means go, black means broken :pac:

Oh actually I forgot about that. I'll have to use a funnel :pac: does that apply to all cars or do most newer petrol cars fit a diesel nozzle how to people fuel with the wrong girl otherwise unless it's petrol in a diesel obviously.

I wouldnt know if it applies to all petrols, never had the issue :pac:

From the amount of people that put in the wrong fuel that I've seen, I don't think the necks actually stop the wrong nozzle going in.

I've had one diesel car among all of my petrols and not once have I grabbed the wrong nozzle by mistake. If you can answer the question "is your car petrol or diesel?" without hesitation, I don't think you'd have a problem with putting the wrong fuel in.

Was the owner freaking out or could you see someone putting petrol into a Passat with a TDI badge?

I don't think I ever would but am in a habit of filling with diesel. But then it always says it on the flap that covers the nozzle and You kind of naturally do a check the in your head. This is a diesel car and this is a diesel pump.

I've easily pushed at least 6/7 people off the forecourt due to the wrong fuel and it's not open long! Not a mind the many I've had to jump start :p

    It's cursed I tells ya!

So I know not motors related but anyway Pacquiao v Mayweather, who'll win?

    Think Pacquiao will.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,113 ✭✭✭Gavman84

I hope he does can't stand mayweather but he has serious record!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,855 ✭✭✭nd

Tbh i've not watched alot of Mayweather but Idk I can't see anyone standing up to the amount of punches Pacquiao throws. The few fights I've watched of Mayweather he seems to be about mostly defense.

RCZ might be going mid next week. Bringing it up to Dublin on Monday for the dealer to have a look at it.

Never thought I'd see the day haha

    Why?

I cannot wait for that fight. It's hard to know who will win. Mayweather is taller longer reach. Money Mayweather he calls himself.

    Why?

It gets sfa use really. I'm doing a lot more mileage so prefer something more comfortable, my girlfriend is in the GT now as a result. Makes no real difference to me if it sells or not, but I'm going to have a look at a car this dealer has and I might try and strike a trade in deal.

Either way I will trade it in down the line or sell it to a dealer because I don't want to go down the road of a private sale from the house.

That's why carparks are used ;)

I always sell cars at car parks and stuff, except that one time when I accidentally sold the Punto at the house.

@pickles: You mentioned in the DD ad that the Saab needs to be towed away. How will you manage to sell it at a car park?

Well i was on about cars that actually work, but if it ever gets moved I'll probably tow it up the road or something and sell it there, although I doubt anyone will take it

Well I don't like the idea of that either :o
I've heard some real horror stories of selling expensive cars, at home and in carparks alike, I'd just rather not deal with it all, selling to a dealer is quick and hassle free. It's a pretty niche car, so I'd expect very little private interest anyway.

If it doesn't sell I don't mind, because the car means a lot to me for various reasons, and I'd be more than happy to hang onto it.

The GT stands me so much that I will always lose money on it, so I will never sell it.

I've never had an issue with carparks or anything like that, if anything I've had more trouble with dealers, but everyone has different experiences, I'm the same with my own car, not many people will want a 2.3 petrol and its worth a few hundred realistically, but I like it so I'll be holding onto it for a very long time
