Where did you get them from, USA I bet. How much also?

Bought them off Ebay from a UK seller, think it was around €48 which included postage and packaging. Was the cheapest I could find them for

Was a grand day this morning so said I'll finally get changing the plugs on the deauville, check the air filter and find out were I have an oil leak.
So got the plugs changed, wasn't too bad.
Air filter seemed OK but have a new one ordered anyway.
Pretty sure I found the culprit for the oil leak, its a nut on the rear cylinder, think its seals is broke, heard there's some paste I can put on it to seal it up,anyone know?
Also when I took the rubber pipe connection between the tank and fuel filter off I broke the pipe.Anyone know where I can get the rubber pipe from?.I chopped the cracked bit off and have it back on but it not fully secure!

I'd throw the broken filter in the bin, and just connect the tank to the carb direct, if you have enough tubing. I've gotten by with no fuel filter fot the past 20 years, so I'm not convinced that they're up to much.
I've bought extra tubing from a car detailing place on Dorset St, Motor factors and the home brew section in Easons :)

For your own piece of mind, especially on a Deau, carry a bypass kit, half a metre of fuel line and a couple of 10mm joiners, this will get you home if the fuel pump packs up and if the pipe does get hard and crack you have about 20cm spare!
The ethanol in fuel makes the fuel line go hard after a while and its worth replacing the whole setup.
You are only talking a few euro for something that can leave you stranded.
I would use a filter personally as a small bit of dirt can also cause a lot of hassle.

Ah just need a small bit of the rubber pipe and I'll be sorted, just don't no where I'd get one.
I wouldn't remove the filter, god knows what crap could come from the tank
Edit: tried halfords earlier but they the girl didn't have a clue what it was

Any marine/boating shops near you? They usually have some.
If your fuel pump packs it in, you will be stranded, if they fail they don't pass any fuel at all.
You can bypass it by using direct from tank to carb but only with a fullish tank, it doesn't work off reserve.

    It's on a GSXR 1000 k8
It was handy enough as from the pipes down into the cat had exhaust clamps on them. All I had to do was undo the clamps to release the cat and put the new deact in place and tighten the clamps back up. I'll see if I can get some pictures

That's handy. I did a decat on no tiger recently but the cat is on the same section as the headers so the beat option was to break it out.

Loaded a tune into it and With the arrow race exhaust it sounds great. And I get the odd firework display !!

Got the pipe sorted..2 quid in motor factors.
The lad there said there's nothing I can put on the seal or bolt to stop the leaking,so may have to try and source a new bolt and seal

Is it the rear rocker cover gasket?
If it is a new gasket and retighten carefully will sort it out.
Don't strip the threads they are only very lightly tightened.
Some people take the old gasket off and put a thin smear of gasket sealer on it and refit it.

Decided "feck it" and ordered the PR4's front and back for the SV today. Was actually going to buy a PS4 (as in Sony) and decided the PR4's would get more use. :o

2mm left on the front of the Metzeler Z6's, thinking that means the rear has less life in it. There's no thread in the centre of the rear so it's hard to tell. Both are squaring and find them running very cold and difficult to warm up over the winter. I think they're rubbish when they're cold.

Tell me I'm not the only one who gets excited about new tyres.

Went with Cotters, free fitting with Michelins and Dunlops until the end of the month. Had a look online to see if I could do any better and couldn't find anything.

Only tyres I have ever used from the pr2 up to the PR4, very stable tyre at speed and a dream in the wet. Went all over western Europe in summer in all conditions and never missed a beat. They are a little dearer then comparable tyres but well worth it IMHO.
