Can anyone tell me the story with fuel injected bikes? Is servicing more expensive? My old man seems to be fully sure it's 600 a year..... I've read online that it's pretty much service free at least as far as injectors go.

Vfr 800 1999 is what I'm looking at

Today I received my birthday present in the post, 5 weeks since I ordered it. But I think it was worth it.
Thanks to Blade1 on here who gave me a lot of info and help when purchasing, (I owe you a breakfast).

My Tiger when I bought it a while back.

And now after a good few mods, the newest being my custom seat.

Lovely bike, the seat actually looks great too.

That's the dogs danglies alright Mr Sheen!!
    How was the fit?
The original Tiger seat is one of the best seats I have ever sat on, how does this measure up to it in you opinion?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you?:pac:

fit was very good, I was very pleased with the way the seat was packaged for shipping too.

The seat gets a 10/10 from me for how it looks and build quality. I have not ridden the bike with the new seat yet as it only arrived into work after lunch.

I agree that the original Tiger seat is more than enough comfort. But I wanted a new seat for aesthetic reasons and I then decided why not go the hole hog and get a custom one with all the bells and whistles.

I am on the bike 80km every day commuting and prob a spin of 300km + the weekend so I think I can justify it. I also plan on doing quite a bit of touring on this.

finally got around to sourcing and fitting a hugger to the bandit. not too sure yet on the looks, the hugger is carbon fiber looks, the bike is a bumblebee yellow and black.
happy with it though and the price was right for a pyramid hugger.
this was the hugger https://www.pyramid-plastics.co.uk/accessory.html?h=14_100328&accessoryCode=339&d=GSF600+2000+-+2004+Carbon+Look+Hugger&partNumber=07002 took a few pics, but they are crap.

Just had the pr4s fitted. Not even close to scrubbed in and they feel great. Didn't realise how square my other tyres were.

You could probably sell your old tires to a courier, I knew one that would take your old oil off you and use it in his own :)

A lot of the oil drained out of bikes probably still has a good bit of life left in it. If he had a bike with heavy oil consumption he'd be keeping a regular flow of 'fresh' oil through it just by topping it up - so maybe not as crazy as it sounds.

    I'm partial to your abracadabra
I'm raptured by the joy of it all

Did a service, changed brake pads and changed fork seals.

Decided to respray the forks as well.

    Before and after attached...

Although this was technically Saturday-Sunday, not today! :)

Waiting for my new break pads to be delivered and will be changing them this weekend hopefully. What did you use for the respray of the forks, looks good?

Do cotters leave you hanging around long? Drive in and out or by appointment? Mine have a while left in them I reckon but might change for the summer.

I regularly look at lee hondas site. I would have no problem traveling to cork to buy a bike from them when the time comes. Will you give a review in a few weeks? mpg & how it rides etc...

Replaced the front break pads, I left the rear to do when I get a new tire. I forgot how awkward the rear one was! Gave the air filter a clean but its done so I ordered a K&N filter.
