Wouldn't that be 7/1 he finishes first or second, whereas if you back e/w with Ladbrokes at 25/1 you've 5.25/1 on the place side and extra place. Given it could be a small field, better value? I know you run the risk of a double stake loss if he doesn't place but I suppose you also have the marginal chance he could win if UDS falls.

No, its W/O UDS and Paddy allow you ew 3 places 1/5 odds, so you're getting 7/1 with the ew essentially being 4 places on the presumption that UDS is in first 3. I just like cause could be a small enough field of 7/8 yet with Smashing only having to beat 3 rivals for a return

Quite fancy Rajdhani Express in the Featival handicap. 20/1 in a place.

He should without a doubt be behind DG and SDG in the betting imo. And quite a bit. If for nothing but the fact that they have proved their wellbeing. But I think he was fit enough to do the job at Ascot if anything like the horse he was, he couldn't do it and bled. Can't have him at 11/4.

No point saying you cant have him at 11/4 or 11/4 is a mental price, without saying what price should he be?

Paddy Power have Betting W/O market up already. It's cliché but I honestly believe he's a ew bet to nothing and 7/1 in that is seriously good value.

    UDS - should win
Vibrato - given the poor ride earlier in season when he gave VV too much to do and the subsequent criticism from both public and Nicholls, I think STD won't want to give UDS too much rein which may cost him.

Josses Hill - may not get round on what we've seen

Sgt Reckless - may not run given prep. Also in County Hurdle.

I think both Smashing 7/1 and Clarcam 9/2 are certs to be ridden for a place with Smashing a standout.

What ive personally been doing if putting Smashing in e/w multiples with ladbrokes at 25/1 with other bad e/w like HF at 10/1, or the young master at 7/1 etc. I think thats better value. The win part is pie in the sky stuff but the place parts are flat out robbery

I don't think I'll be doing a single in the CH but it will be a fascinating race. Haven't looked forward to any race like this before.

Why would Vautour be shortening in some lists for the Arkle?

Just punters taking advantage of NRNB in case something happens UDS. He's 37 on exchanges which is the real indicator

Abbsyial obviously has to prove he gets the trip but there's nothing to suggest he won't, he's clearly classy and with the race having cut up badly 40s is a big ew price. Much rather have him ahead of some of the exposed horses ahead of him in market.

Couldn't have BB for Ryanair. I know his record over 2n4 is much better but I think that's partly by coincidence and rave depth - Aintree Gr1 he won was weak and would be amazed if he's not outpaced over 2m4 in a proper race

Nichols Canyon for the supreme novice at 12's with William hill

The champion hurdle is going to be the race of the festival for me with no pace looking likely. Does ruby make all, you would think he would love to make all and we could get a vautour type result.

Do they sacrifice kitten rock for jezki who will need a fast pace? Can't see bertimont making it. If ruby dictates it's game over.

Interesting negative stat against Douvan in the Supreme...
Only once in the last 20 years has it been won by a horse absent from the racecourse longer than 52 days (French Ballerina 1998).
Douvan will be 59 days absent on race day!

There is a lot against Douvan, never ran in a bumper, never ran in a field with more than 10,never ran on better than soft. Has he run left handed? No course form. I couldn't have him at all, alpha des obeaux was second to him last time in his impressive looking run,Alpha is a 3 miler. I'm tempted to lay this boy
