Unless it's pointing North with a load it should be alright.

Yep I don't carry anything heavy in the back anymore so they are never pointing up so don't blind anyone. By the looks of it you can't just buy the motor so you need a new headlight. The problem with the golf mk5 is you can't just throw any headlight in because of the vw cover over the dipped headlights none of the spurious one have that and it would annoy me it didn't have that. God knows how much a genuine headlight would cost they are auto lights too.

There's an A6 C6 RS6 Avant floating around Ballincollig makes an absolutely fantastic noise!

Plenty of them on partfinder, you'd be better off getting a secondhand one. Auto lights won't make any difference when looking, it's the same headlight auto or not.

I have a passenger side headlight with a very slight crack in the glass down by the indicator. Free to a good home if you want it. You might be able to pull the motor from it or something.

I've never seen a Golf or Polo Harlequin in the flesh, let alone a Vento. Haven't even seen a replica!

I used to go to every vw show in Ireland and eventually even the bigger ones in the UK... Only seen a couple of genuine polos and golfs in Ireland and a homemade vento harlequin...

I'd take pride in owning one if I was lucky enough.

I had some fun with a BMW 6series convertible on the local autobahn and roundabouts..

Was only behind him for a short while didn't notice any badges but in his defence it must have been a 630i auto..or else a lame pilot lol..

3rd gear in the mr2 is epic. I must have deafened him into submission :-)

Meh it's been like that for 6 months it's not causing any harm other than being noisy and doesn't allow the headlight on that side to adjust up and down which isn't the end of the world as its set and focused correctly anyway. I plan on getting a few bits and pieces done on it over the summer so I'll get it disconnected then.

No snips at hand ? :D

I asked in the Limerick forum but can anyone tell me where I can get rid of old oil and coolant in Limerick? I used to be able to use the disposal facilities in my last few jobs so never once had to look for a place

The local places website doesn't say if they'll take it or not.
