    And we have it now:eek:

Nice - Blueberries, Pineapple, Oranges and Apples - this is great offer:D
    Peppers are not bad either.

As for Blueberries, as much as I like them I don't think I could stock up on these - great price, though.

What a great offering this fortnight that is, I can start drinking my smoothies in the morning again :D

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Blueberries freeze reasonably well, wonski. Put them on a tray in single layer. Into the fridge, and as soon as they are frozen you can bag them up to (they won't stick this way)

I reckon there won't be that much stock though, many a time recently I was tempted into Aldi only to find that the best value for money item in the super 6 was not available

I know these are popular but Aldi could at least put a policy in of maybe max 1 or 2 per item, to make stock last a bit longer...

Id say at these prices you'll probably get restaurant staff coming in and buying up the stock to resell it.

Blueberries for 69c is some value, especially as they're €2-2.50 a punnet in other supermarkets. I wonder what a blueberries, orange and pineapple smoothie would taste like, I'll soon find out hopefully :)

They don't allow bulk purchases beyond a certain level - its unpublished but people do get refused.

I can see all these angry customers ringing Joe all day:D

Not a bad idea, though. Even 4 per customer would improve the super 6 experience.

That Sirloin is gone up, it was €4 on the last super six. Still a very good price for decent steaks.

I got some in Supervalu (from the counter) at 8.99/kg last Friday. Might still be on.

Popped into rathmines aldi today, all these offers available and not too many people about.

The blueberries especially are a steal, very handy for my porridge!

Also picked up the steak and the duck.

Be careful with frozen fruit \ berries, there is a boil first health warning at the moment in Ireland.

Don't think it's on all fruit. And I thought it was on imported fruit only? and lastly, is it still in place, I thought this was from mid 2013??

Surely it would only apply to Pre-Frozen berries. If you buy them fresh and freeze that should be sound otherwise you would have to boil the fresh ones before consumption

I usually freeze a banana overnight and chop it up to make the smoothies nice and cold :) That or stick whatever juice or liquid you're going to use in the freezer for an hour before you make the smoothie!

I was in Lidl yesterday and they had a sign up above the berries in the freezer telling you to boil them first so I guess its still going. It would make you wonder what the Food Safety people are up to, it's been more than a year now for sure.

That's a new alert. Only been on a few months. concerns hand picked frozen fruit. You should of course wash any fruit that has been hand picked.

I know you mentioned frozen fruit, but just in case anyone doesn't know you have to be really careful with frozen berries, there has been a boil notice on them for the last few years due to the risk of hepatitis A
"Consumers are being advised to boil any frozen berries which come from outside of Ireland for at least one minute before eating them."

Hang on there. The pomelo is a precursor of the grapefruit. The grapefruit is a cross between mandarin and pomelo.

According to molecular studies, the mandarin, the citron, the pomelo, and the papeda were the ancestors of all other citrus species.
