Yeah, the poster does say "Tesco this week" in the heading part (unless the heading bit is not visible in the new boards forum type (I still use vBulletin setup)

No it's not visible. It was the font on the price that I recognised as being Tesco.

    Ah, that explains it!

Probably should be disabled, if possible on vBulletin too so.

Thanks for this. I'd say it will be less than 39c when the offer starts tomorrow as Tesco have their fruit and vegetable offers at 29c. (Which are leek, turnip, spring onion, green pepper, lemons and 1 kg Roosters).

Are they those really bad mini apples that come in a bag.?

I hate them so much. There's no real use to them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,670 ✭✭✭uli84

Anyone been there yet? What are the apples like? Thx

They are in a tray but tbh they are not the best quality. Watch out for at least one rotten one in them before taking them.

Apples are 'okay', a tad soft, like they've been defrosted or some such. Check your tray, a good few seem to come with a free rotter..

Cheers anyone knows what they are called? Anythin on the pack?

Always find their offers great quality and last time i got a few bags of their apples lasted me 2 weeks and were still crisp. But I stored them in the shed where it was cool. they lasted very well and were nice and sweet. Can't compain at that price. Have never found their offers to be substandard tbh. :D Had a few of them stewed with custard too.

Up to 59c for the new offers. Why dont they have them the same price. Some weeks its 29c then 39c now 59c. Still cheap but annoying that they vary the price.

I got some of those oranges yesterday and they are very nice, juicy and tasty.
Of course give them a good examination before you buy them, as you find a bad one in amongst the pack.

    Hard as rocks
I normally leave mine in a window at home, they soften/ripen enough in a few days.
Still not as tasty as other pears, but wont grumble at the price.
