Second armour video from Xfactor, this time some Rush

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 460 ✭✭keithc83

Cheers Darren for the link. I didn't get too much time to put some of Xfactor's tips into practice but it definitely helped me stay in a tank for longer yesterday when i tried for a couple of rounds. Will hopefully have more time this weekend to give the tank more focus (for those never ending phantom assignments). Has anyone played Rush recently? I haven't played much of it at all on BF4 but will give it a go later.

Haven't played Rush since they scrambled the M-Com positions. Would be nice to get back into the swing of things. (Played Rush exclusively on BF3)

Could be a laugh - I'll try and make some time over the weekend to try and get a round or two in.

I'd be the same as Chris, haven't played much Rush at all since they moved all the stations around. I do remember getting quite lost on Flood Zone recently though, hadn't a clue how to get back up and defend the feckin Mcom :D

When my hours go back to something close to normality I'll definitely give Rush another go. I do love a good game of Rush to be honest.

My only problem with Xfactor giving out tanking tips is that the more people that see them, the less likely I am to abuse noobs and go on killstreaks..

You would think that but i have seen some of the craziest and most ridiculous noob players on Battlefield and most of them have no clue of Xfactor or any other good Battlefield commentator on youtube. So there will always be noobs, that's a guarantee! :D

Just bought the premium edition on PS store, its taking an age to install, any estimates on 10mb internet? On Campaign 100%, Full Game 32% at the moment.

The Game itself shouldn't take too long. It's the expansions that are going to drag out the downloading. The game extends over 50GB - At the very least it'll take a couple of hours.

If it starts to return you severely high estimates of time remaining just set your PS4 into standby mode overnight and let it do it's thing. At least you'll have plenty to do when you start up.

Anyone else having major issues connecting to servers?

Specifically when trying to join on friends?? Keep getting the same "game session is no longer available" message over and over again. Somewhat annoying.

if it's anything like the 1 hour message delay then it's masterfully broken also.

There's been a few issues with file transfers from DA : Keep, also Need for Speed Rivals appears to be having issues connecting to servers with the past week or so (95% exclusively online)

I'm guessing it's more of an EA problem rather than anything.

So in just over 1 year, I've now officially spent more time on BF4 than I did in 2 years on BF3 :D

Found this guy today and he puts out very good videos, including these armour tips.

    The first one here is a little long but he does a good job going over armour basics and tips etc;

Next two are shorter and more specific

Over the Xmas period is away I had two nights without packet loss/lag.

Frustrating having to pack it in each night

65 and my ADS sensitivity is 125%. I'll double check if I'm on again later but I think it's correct

    65:eek:

I put mine down to 20 after having not played with a controller for a while.

Nice streak Darren. That last chopper kill especially!
On the sensitivity thing I think mine is at 68, it really helps me in what would have been losing situations previously with the default sensitivity. What is the default for ADS? I don't think I have tinkered with that yet but might check it out and see if that helps as well.

Higher sensitivity messes your aim up though, my sensitivity is at 25% and my accuracy is 22.17%

Accuracy isn't really a stat we can scream from the rooftops from out HEAVY usage of light machine guns.

My sensitivity is max and it works well for my play style.

Some people can move their sights to exactly where they want - I just shoot like a lunatic until the body in-front of me drops.

My sensitivity is also mid 60s too, weird.

Lads are ye not having the packet loss problems I am having so?

Shocking at moment, missing out on so much game time

How do you access the large mini map when in game on ps4?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 984 ✭✭✭XtraFalcon

    Playing Commander Mode is heart-breaking.

I don't think that the team know that I can see ALL TROOP movements on my screen and that maybe that base in the middle of nowhere is strategically important.

    Press and hold 'Options'

I've actually only got 3,500 kills with LMGs.....so I can't blame all my accuracy on them. I do tend to gravitate towards the faster firing guns though so I often rely on simply putting more rounds down range than come back at me.

From the rounds we've played together, I can safely say the 3 of us would be considered to be very aggressive players. My play style seems to work with higher ADS speeds.
My main objective, ultimately, is to stop the enemy winning the flag. At the very least, I want to be contesting the burn so I'm fairly aggresive in getting on the flag. Means more often than not, I'm outnumbered, so I need the higher sensitivity to quickly scan the surroundings. I often miss out on points because I'm waiting to respawn but at least we got the flag.

Oddly enough, on that round of Golmud, I suffered from horrendous stuttering and lag at the end. First bit I've experienced in months though to be honest.

Argh, not sure what to do now. Played again tonight and was on fire, at one stage I was 25-5 but the point here is to mention that he five timesi died was entirely down to packet loss.

    Some weird **** happening, eg

    - killing a guy then going to this screen under the map, had to respawn
    - dying and having to spend the rest of the map seeing his kill cam, couldn't respawn
    - not being able to spawn at all
    - not bring able to change squads

    ...and so on

    :(
