I'm more of a fan of Kandee, so much so in fact I wonder are there some addictive ingredients.

Jaysus that stuff is like watery vinegar dyed red.

    Buy most things in aldi

    Except

Mayo, ketchup, conditioner, dishwasher tabs. They all have to be branded!

For some reason I only like the toothpaste out of lidl so I always go there just for that.

I buy the cheap loo roll and I've never felt the desire for the soft stuff!

Always buy the best quality M and sometimes supplementary Ms.

Walking boots and a mattress .

I heard the logic for those choices before. If you're not in one you're in the other.

Fully agree. The stems on the cheap ones bend far too easy when you're trying to dig a bit of crud out of the ears, I find.

yeah, and to top it all, some ultra cheap ones' cotton wool just stays lodged in your ear, my blood pressure's rising just thinking about it. :(

I know that's something that shouldn't be done, but I couldn't live without cleaning my ears with cotton buds, simple as.

Car tyres. Just not worth the risk. And then you see folks with 340bhp BMW m3s with budget ditch finders like some nankang or wanli tyres.

Also mattresses. A cheap generic mattress destroys the soul.

All the suggestions of shoes, I gotta agree with that, got a few pairs of Dr. Martens, and the pair I'm currently wearing have lasted me for oh about 4 years so far? Money well spent.
I bought a pair of Doc sandals for 90euro. I've got 10 summers out of them and they're not finished yet.

Agreed on biscuts, but some of the budget cereals are great. Tesco 'special flakes' are indistinguishable from Special k IMO.

There are a few things that I refuse to budget on and it annoys the crap out of me when my housemates don't.

I'd hate to be your housemate. Different strokes and all, it doesn't matter as much to them as you. Don't ever say this to them, petty in the extreme! If you have a kitty going currently, just get out of it and buy your own stuff if it bothers you so much.
