You said you hope that people who you expect to drive neutral voters away from the yes side take charge of the yes campaign.

I hope few of ye are put in charge that's what I posted

Made sense to me anyway. And to the poster above ^^^

I think it is in May.

I won't because it does not affect me. If they get it passed fair play but I doubt i'm in a minority when I say I have little interest in it.

I think this apathy might be the biggest risk to the referendum and also the appeal of giving the government a harmless (in my view) kicking.

Anyone feel the same way about it? I just could not be bothered. I think it will be like the children's referendum. Very low turnout.

There's more important things to be worried about tbh.
Who really gives a sh1te about this apart from the usual anti-Catholic Church loud mouthed mob?
It'll probably fail anyway as FG get a second 'wallop'.
Another €15 or €20 million of our money down the drain.

What does this have to do with the catholic church other than the fact they oppose it?

The ones with the loudest mouths will make the most noise.
    The referendum will fail though.
    It's a nonsense and a waste.

The first and last part is true, iona doesnt shut up.

Why would anyone want to tie themselves legally to another individual for life?
    They must be nuts!:)

I'm far from anti-Catholic. I'm not a believer, but pretty much everyone I know is.

I care because it's only right that gay people have equal rights.

I will be voting. I am female and am well aware of the struggle women had to be allowed to vote, therefore, I think it is of paramount important for me to exercise my constitutional right at any given opportunity.

I will be voting for the introduction of same sex marriage.

I wonder if there was a thread about racism with pages of posts stating how and why racism is justifiable would it be allowed?

Claiming one person is not entitled to the same rights as someone else is bigoted no matter what the reason.

Undecided. Just how gay are these marriages likely to be?

They always make the most noise, its the herd mentality of delusions of oppression.Off course there's also the silencing of any opposition by the media who's agenda is long set on this issue.i'll hand it to the gay lobby though they have greased all the right palms when it comes to news and media. If you have a few minutes take a listen to this "debate".

I'll be voting in favour of it. To me there is no reason why gay people should not be allowed to marry.

Plenty of delusion, just not where you think it is. I like how you call treating people equally as an agenda. Damn equality laws are oppressing us.

The statistics may appear to be favourable but this is because, just like in this forum, anybody who does not agree with your view is attacked viciously and nasty attempts to humiliate him/her ensue.Believe me though, when the majority of the people of Ireland are alone in a polling booth there voices will speak as one.

    What is delusional about it?

Why does this matter to you so much? Your life won't change in any way if this goes through. I would say you might get invited to a few more weddings, but in your case I'm going to assume that's unlikely :pac:

And your both ugly, na na nana na.Give me a break:rolleyes:

You have to wonder at the mental gymnastics one has to undergo in order to come to the conclusion that stopping your right to oppress is oppression.

It is the last excuse along with opinion when you cant discuss with facts. Real facts that is, not the ones you make up and when proven wrong you pretend it never happened.

Just think of them as marriages

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I think a poll should be included as part of this thread with four choices as I believe they reflect the current views of all

    Yes
    No
    Undecided

I agree, it's a terrible debate. Ronan Mullen was rude, made no effort to make a point. For guys who claim they're being silenced, they get a hell of a lot of airtime but never seem to make a decent point.

So you agree it should just be legalised at a state level without a pointless and costly referendum being put in place to waste everyone's time and money over a clear issue of discrimination?

    I'll be voting 'No'

In my view it's a sickness brought on by a level of neglect by parents or maybe a lack of!
