This drop in fuel prices is great :) stopped in in my local esso station on the way back from cork and I'd say I was about 10-20 km left before the light came on so well below a 1/4 of a tank i won't be going too far for the next few days so said I'd stick 25 euro in it and the gauge went two bars over 1/2 tank that's great going :)

It was 1.269 euro per litre for diesel btw.

Not sure about Cartell, I've always used Motorcheck and they've been great!

    +1 to motorcheck

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,031 ✭✭✭Bpmull

I've used both and I recon motorcheck is better for its reports.

Motorcheck used to post here. I questioned that account a number of times regarding obtaining information from forums on stolen cars etc. Never got an answer on questionable data gathering.

As a result I would treat them as a good indication but not infallible.

Love this quote from the AMA forum:
Why can't Japanese make emotive cars like the Europeans and Americans? I guess it comes down to culture and respect. The Japanese as a culture have more of a culture of respect for the customer and shame if things go wrong. They'd prefer to make a reliable boring car than an avant guard rust bucket.

Thanks to the 4 drunks that just rubbed make up all over my car window fcuked some descriptions alcohol over the front of the car. And then ran off as I could see them in the distances as I went out after hearing the laughing. I can't see any damage but then why would they run off they didn't see me. I suppose it's no harm to through a bucket of water over the paint just in case ?

They just ooze whatever the opposite of class / style is.

ya wont do any harm anyway. If it was spirits, wouldn't that have a similar effect to petrol and damage the protection?

I poured a bucket of water over it so should be ok it was some description of alcohol spilled on the road too I'd say it was beer most likely. Make up all over the window looks like some girl rubbed her face all over and then start kissing it which is rank enough as the car is currently filthy I wouldn't go kissing it anyway.

Heading into work there earlier and came across a completely smashed up nissan primera, only copped there was two people inside it as i was passing, so I done the decent thing and turned around to see if they were ok, two Filipino lads, one was pinned against his door and the other was ok, turns out some fella in an artic hit them from the side and fcuked off, so called the cops to let them know and no more than a minute later they were there along with the fire brigade, no idea what happened after that, but the two lads seemed ok

That happens a lot, someone comes upon the scene of a crash, and just assumes it's been already come across and everyone has been treated. Came across a renault master completely ditched out in Connemara a few weeks back. It must have hit the ditch at some speed, it was fair windy too, because it was gone at least ten, maybe 15 feet into the bog the far side of the ditch, and it was on it's side. Front of the van was completely mangled. I got destroyed going in through the wet marsh to see if there was anyone in it. They're wasn't, but out there if you crashed you could be left for hours without anyone coming upon you.
