Heading home with a few gallons of petrol to clean the manifold and bits as they are too caked to turn a blind eye!
The inlets right before the cylinders are restricted by 10-20 percent with buildup.

3 of the 6 inlet gaskets were leaking too so she might be faster than it ever was.

I'm contemplating a remap now with a new turbo and an otherwise full bill of health.

It's pretty gutted in the shed here at the min, thankfully all the injectors came out no problem.

It's just this calling I'm worried about, hopefully the flushes will sort that and all will be well!
    Thanks bear :)

    It's December now tp :)
Hopefully or you'll hear me weeping in Newbridge!
On my knees beside various bits of m57 i can't figure out :D

Pop up the pictures of parts you don't recognise, could be useful having a few people giving you advise along the way :)
@TP: Why is it better to get a remap done after an oil change? I had my oil changed about 1k ago when the chains were replaced and I'm contemplating a remap and EGR bypass.
Still skeptical about the EGR bypass as I believe the NCT are planning to begin checking this is functioning

Anyone have an idea what it'd cost to get 4 Alloys refurbed and who does them?

If you want someone local sodablast down the Marina are good. Have seen some of their work and it's impressive.

    Leo Whealan is also good.

Sound! I'll pop in to both of them and see what the story is, wheels really let it down at the moment.

Just enter my details for a quick quote there, I was proceeding to do a full quote for comp cover. No sooner as I do that the phone is ringing. I didn't answer as I got the same speel before using them. Hi, I noticed you're quote for car insurance I can go ahead with that now for you...

Thanks and all Interslice but it wouldn't work well witth plastic :)
It's not carbon really, more a gloopy mess from a bad turbo inlet oil seal.

As for putting it back together, I'm messing mostly. We haven't been beaten yet :)

A first this evening. Was driving home from work and the rear door opened and all the dome lights activated. I was like wtf is going on. It then had the courtesy to soft close itself again and the lights went off, leaving me wondering if I was going a little bit mental.

A quick search online seems i'm not the first to experience it. More money...
