Done last night.. Aguero, Cesc to yaya and Costa. Now hope to hear news of aguero out for 4 weeks today!

    Done the same!

Just read Mourinho's piece where he says Costa must prove his fitness. I can see some rotation coming in over the Christmas period.

Think I'll move him on again after this GW

It is absolutely crazy that some of you are even considering no City coverage against Leicester this weekend. They are conceded for fun!

Liverpool and Villa, both teams who are having a bad time at scoring, created numerous chances against these and scored 3 & 2 respectively. It could of been so much more.

Heed the warning ... get City players in for this GW. On this they have 2 home games against lower opposition coming also!

Will be missing Chambers, Fabregas, Austin and Aguero next week.

I'll obviously replace Aguero (not necessarily with Costa) and will take a -4 to dump Chambers. Fab and Austin only miss one game and I can see me wanting to bring both back in, so will just bench them. Chambers is in danger of losing game time with Debuchy fit and Arsenal aren't exactly pulling up any trees defensively.

Might give Baines another go and will probably go with Costa as I will end up feeling I need Chelsea cover for the Hull game, but I'm not happy about buying him. His current form doesn't justify £11m.

It is tough alright but despite my run of red arrows until this week it could have been a whole lot worse for me since I didn't have Costa.

I'll more than likely go for one more hide behind the couch week and leave City cover out until GW17.

I think I'll probably have to take a -4 too and it will most likely be Costa and Dzeko in for RVP and Aguero.

Whats for sure is most peoples plans to carry banked transfers into Xmas are up the left!! :D

I'm thinking of running the yellow card risk with Toure and doing Aguero, Chambers and Sterling to Dzeko, Baines and Toure.

    Were you tempted by Yaya?

Ye I was and was very close to getting him. However I need to shift ings the following week and would like to get Dzeko for him . If I got Yaya this week I wouldn't have the money for Dzeko.

I'm think of switch Aguero to Costa, and next week doing Oscar to Silva (provided he's fit).

Means no City coverage this week, but I'll have 3 Chelsea players for the backlash against Hull!

  • Aguero, Chambers & Austin currently in my team...

Wildcard available but what a waste that would be with one available again in 4 weeks!

sigh, time to take some hits.

If I go for City cover it'll have to be for a -8. While I can afford Yaya, I don't really want to sell any of my mids.

So my city cover would also be Dzeko in for Austin, leaving me with Costa (c), Dzeko and Bony up front.

Not sure though I want to take a -8 since we're not sure of Dzeko's fitness/gametime

    4 point hit,Aguero -> Dzeko. Fabergas -> YaYa.

I now have 11 players that I can field at the weekend. \o/

Two free transfers and .5m in the bank.

Don't know what to do about Fabregas. I had him since the start so would only get 9.4 for him... making it very expensive to get him back in later on. It's the exact same for Aguero... would lose a lot getting rid of them

I'm personally thinking Fab -> Pantillimon (was going to do this soon, this just brings it forward a bit) and then Steven Taylor to Hutton/Dummett.

    So confused :(

I'll more than likely wait a week for City coverage they play in Rome wed night in a huge game and will probably be without silva and Aguero there two key attacking players on sat. I'm not sure for my team it's worth a - 4 .Everyone's circumstances are different and for some getting in a city player is a no brainer.

But who do you pick? Yaya on 4 yellows, Silva still injured, Dzeko coming back from injury and not fit, Jovetic the same. Navas or Nasri? Milner and Lampard are cheap but you're rolling the dice with all of the above.

Say City do put a hatfull past Leicester is it really a problem if hardly anyone has any of the players to begin with. Yaya is obviously the danger but what if he picks up a Yellow and misses the next game meaning using another transfer and potentially another one to get him back again or benching 10.0 alternatively.

It's all well and good having City coverage but what if you don't get the right one and ignore another team's number 1 player who's in form. Not to mention that City's attack is much less potent without Aguero leading the line.

For me I'd like to wait and see how they get on without Sergio and who's likely to take advantage so I can get what would hopefully be the right player.

Wise words from Big Chief Sensible! :)

I certainly wouldn't be getting Dzeko before Wednesday's game. But if he plays 90 and looks sharp there it might be done.

A lot depends for me on RVP, if he doesn't start or is poor tonight he'll need to be moved on as well as Aguero.

Won't know what to do with all the cash in that case.

a striker like bony or benteke is a big plus over the likes of Costa
ideally I'd like all my strikers to be on pens
bony is , aguero was, rooney i think is probably only second in line though
Costa won't be but benteke is........also I think giroud is when arteta is out?

You won't be getting rid of RVP after he gets you double digits tonight :)

What have you done to the guy that used to post here last year?

You're spot on imo. I brought Yaya in last week (and obviously happy I did) but I'm not sure I'd be in a mad panic to get him now.

City haven't been creating loads of chances, it's more the case that Aguero has been pulling them out of his hat. You could even say they'd be pretty poor this season if you take Aguero's class away.

I wouldn't have any confidence in any of their strikers gametime, Silva is only coming back. Outside of that you're getting into gambles.... Navas it is so :)

Aguero isn't the same as Fab. If he's ruled out for a month as expected then he's going to have several drops and you'll probably get him back for your selling price. Fab may drop a couple of times but he'll be back shortly to halt the fall.

Even if Aguero was to magically hold his value until his return. I still wouldn't hold him and have 12m+ tied up in an non player for 5-6 GWs. Forget the money, it's points your after.

    Yaya Toure happened!

Oh and there was that electrical storm that hit Prodston Towers and ended up kocking it to the ground. Everyone assumed the worst but then I emerged from the rubble with a newfound outlook on the FPL world. Some say it was the anger from Yaya not getting his birthday cake that caused it and now our lives are intertwined. At least until next season anyway.

Surprised it didn't make the news actually :pac:

Worries me too but before his yellow on Saturday he had gone about 10 games without one. I'll take the risk and worst case I can downgrade to Sliva, Di Maria, Cesc etc.

What sets you apart from the pack is getting there before the pack!

No point sitting, waiting and transferring in when the ship has sailed!

When you look at Liverpool; Henderson , Gerrard, Lallana, Sterling (the attacking players you would consider for FF) all scored decent figures against them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭Dubliner28

In same vote re City cover. Too many options available in midfield? Is Dzeko fully fit? Millner has been in good form but hardly a high scorer or consistent.(albeit 3 assists in 3 games)

    Might go for Clichy

Believe me you're preaching to the choir when you say that. Basically what I'm saying is that I don't know which player will be the best option yet and I don't want to get the wrong one. That's my problem. Which City players do you have or are getting in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,064 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

I've narrowed my Aguero replacement down to:

Sahko, Bony, Lukaku, Benteke, Rooney, RVP, Falcao, Giroud.

    Follwed by outsiders such as
Dzeko, Carroll, Jovetic, Welbeck, Pelle, Ulloa, Ings

It's going to be some fun committing to one.

Agree with that Mr.P but one thing I'd add is that while you won't fall far behind the pack by not having City coverage this week, it is an opportunity to pick up a differential for a few weeks. Look at the ownership % of the candidates you mentioned. Imagine having one of them if they manage a 15/20 pointer....

    Defenders
    Kompany 10.4%
    Clichy 7.5%
    Zabaleta 4.5%
    Kolarov 3.3%

    Midfielders
    Yaya Touré 8.5%
    Silva 4.6%
    Nasri 1.9%
    Milner 1.6%
    Lampard 1.5%
    Navas 1.4%

    Forwards
    Dzeko 4.4%
    Jovetic 3.3%
    Pozo 0.0%

Currently have Aguero/Rooney/Kane myself. Was toying with using the spare cash from Aguero to upgrade Kane (to something like Lukaku and Dzeko/Benteke) but with Lei and Bur up in the next 3 for Spurs, I don't want to ditch Kane just yet.

I wouldnt get Clichy kolorav will start 2 of the next 5. If Clichy starts wed and koloravs fit I'd expect kolorav to start sat.
