The other way to look at it is Hazard might be getting forward and into the box more.

Haz will be told to play on the shoulder of the last defender I imagine, especially if Drogba plays. I'm tempted to give him the armband, only thing stopping me is that Spurs were actually really good against Everton, they could provide stiff opposition for Chelsea

That's the thing, I can see Spurs getting a result.

Spurs might score alright but they'll concede too. Fabio and Chiriches are accidents waiting to happen.

I always rated Chiriches actually. Fazio looks a bit suspect alright. Wonder who will start at rb, Naughton is available so I'm guessing it'll be him. Poor Eric Dier the cb wouldn't stand a chance having to mark Hazard

Ya I meant to say Chiriches at RB is the accident rather than the player himself. Would take him over Dier and Fabio for sure. Wonder will Kaboul return or what's the story with him...was he just dropped?

First points hit in a very long time this week, not something I like doing but feel it should pay off.

Costa and ADM out, Aguero and Siggy in.

Brought in Giroud for Pelle and Fabregas for Di Maria. Just a one game ban for Costa so he can sit it out on the subs bench.

To get Baines for Bertrand or upgrade another defender for someone cheaper than Baines....

What's the alternative to the rock solid but expensive baines...

And where would these whispers be coming from out of curiosity?

Strongly doubt it, especially with Dzeko out injured. They would hardly start Jovetic up front on his own away to Sunderland

I seriously doubt Pellegrini will bench the best striker in the league for a tough away fixture against a team which just kept a clean sheet against the current league leaders.

If they had more forward options I would see him not starting 1 of the next 2 Prem games, ahead of the Roma game. That would be the wise thing to do - otherwise burn-out/injury becomes a major risk. Their forward options being as limited as they are, he may well start both, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised to see him start on the bench for one of them either. All games are important, but of the next 3 the Roma game definitely stands out, since champs league knockout qualification rests on that one game. Silva's current injury came in a game personally I think he should have been given a rest for, they certainly don't want the same fate to befall Sergio.

Can't decide between Bertrand to Terry or Downing to Siggy. Nearly everyone in my leagues has Siggy while nobody has Chelsea defensive cover yet.

I think sergio will defo play v sunderland, everton , roma, its that Leicester on the 13th he mayb rested. but I think its league cup games the midweek after Leicester and city are out so he may play that game also.

ADM out but torn between Mata or a punt on Sterling?

Whoever it is will be shipped out in 2 weeks regardless.

    (Already have Hazard)
