I like the type-r concept but since it is a concept will it change once it goes into production?

Very very well done by Honda. Always good with their ads. Anyone remember the Accord one? Fantastic.

    Update regarding the timing chain.
Parts have been ordered and the car is going in next week for the surgery. Fingers crossed those feckin injectors stay intact!
    Good luck!

    And keep us updated. :)

In my 9 years of driving I was only ever in the MTO maybe twice. Taxing my first car and collecting my driving license.

Brilliant ad, I must say I have hated the Civic for the past ten years but that type R looks the ****!

Some old wench clipped my mirror today, knocking the casing off. She was way over the white line, in the middle of town. She didn't even stop! She had a passat, I hope I cracked her indicator on the mirror or something :D

Something similar happened me years ago in GMIT. I was driving past the gym and there is a bit of a hill so this girl comes flying down in another civic in the middle of the road(I don't know what she was thinking) She obviously didn't see me as the hill was there and she should have been on her side. So she scrapes the side of my car luckily I just scrubbed off her blue paint marks and there was no other damage. I just kept driving on I was young. If it happened now I would turn around and go after her and ask her what the hell was she thinking.

Sad to see so many rare cars just left to rot in the open.

You got to love some of the donedeal car ad descriptions. Like there is no harm in emphasising a cars good points then there's exaggerating and them there's just plain lies. Two examples I recently seen.

First was a car ad said car is in perfect condition needs nothing ready to go. Flick through pictures one of the dash engine, abs and traction control warning lights on yep that car needs nothing anyway :pac:

Then there was one for a golf mk5 1.9tdi now I have one so I know what there like on diesel if you were going to drive it easy and to fumes of diesel you'd get 900-1000km to a tank in and around 55 ish mpg. This ad said this golf is an absolute miser on diesel 1400km to a tank of diesel everytime that's around 75 mpg I don't think so :D

So the 166 stopped on the drive today just as I got home… I thought it felt a bit down on power this evening but it was full of people and things so thought it must have been the extra weight. Sounded absolutely fine, wasn't hot, had plenty of oil and everything else was working as it should. After it stalled it would't crank, starter engaging but not turning it over. It was dark and I was tired, Graduation tomorrow so It'll be Sunday at least before I get a chance to look at it. Just wondering if anyone would like to speculate a cause.

My 166 expert is off line at the moment and I'm not in a position to do anything practical so all speculation welcome :p

    Loose connection somewhere?
    ^^This!^^

    I'd suspect battery connectors.

    Otherwise faulty starter motor.

This could explain why it wouldn't crank but not why it cut out in the first place. I would guess they're probably related.
