Have you tried the Oneplus One toolkit?

If you don't have a custom recovery already installed you're probably going to lose all your data at this stage. Try unlocking the bootloader, rooting and flashing TWRP using the above.

I had a mini bootloop the other day. Was just in the app drawer & the phone suddenly rebooted, then rebooted again. Booted fully the second time, but said it was re-installing android and spent an age 'optimizing' my apps. First time it's happened in the 3 months I've owned it.

Thanks a million for that. Are there any really good instructions anywhere on how to do all of that? I tried it last night but don't think I did it right. I'm not very techie I'm afraid.

Thanks so much for the help. I really appreciate it.

It's been a while since I used it so I can't really remember. But it should simply be a case of putting your phone into download mode.

Hold vol up + power (or volume down + power) connect it to the pc and clicking unlock bootloader.

Then click flash a recovery, select TWRP & boot to it using vol down + power and enter the commands someone gave earlier.

Failing that try the Flash CM11s button and reflash the os, that might fix whatever the problem is.

    Hi all,

    I used this guide

All went well and I now have a rooted phone.

Two questions for the knowledgeable amongst you:-

    1. I understand that it's advisable to enable "Android Debugging" in Developer Options and to disable "Update CM recovery" as you don't want the recovery installed when rooting to be overwritten when the next OTA firmware update happens. Is this correct?

    2. How can I automatically restore the 250 or so apps I had on my phone pre-root??

Can anyone tell me how to find the APK folder now I've rooted my device? I can confirm it's rooted as I've installed some apps which required and were granted superuser access such as Titanium Backup and Greenify etc.

When I connect the phone the following is the root folder structure I'm seeing and for the life of me I can't find the APK's. I thought once rooted I'd see more folders which are only visible if the phone is rooted

I think you'll need an app like Root Explorer to see the more "interesting" folders...

I don't understand why I can see all the folders I'm looking for using ES File Explorer but I can't see those same folders using Win 8.1 File Explorer.

Does that mean the only way to transfer files from my laptop to one of the "hidden" folders is to first of all use File Explorer to transfer the files to the root of the phone and then use Es File Explorer to move them to the target folder?

Bought mine late on Friday afternoon and it arrived to the house in Belfast this morning. Pretty damn good service after all the kerfuffle over invites!

    Thanks

Haven't used it myself but I've heard you need to sign up for mailboxde.com and then presumably use their address for shipping and your normal Irish address for billing.

Yes it's €4.99 (Standard) or €9.99 (Express). The problem is that when you go to enter the delivery address you have to select Country. By doing that the currency changes to Sterling and the Sterling price is £269 + £9.99 delivery or approximately €355 + bank charges (We're drawing the short straw again).

You can go through the pre-order stages here: http://preorder.oneplus.net/

EDIT: Just saw you were talking about delivery to Germany - no problem then. You can get it for €305/310 depending the method delivery.

Hello people, I had created a post on official oneplus one forms about the wireless charging method i discovered. Here is the link to the post. Oh and there are 2 methods, One involves you taking apart your phone, soo.. if you don't want to do that then use the first method.

Perfect thanks, I live in Germany so that is great! Getting rid of my One M7 as the camera is too poor especially with the pink hue so probably gonna get this

You're probably near a dodgy Three tower, Three switches over to roaming on Vodafone for calls and texts when it cant get a strong enough signal, should go away in a while.

By the way turning on and off Aeroplane mode in the taskbar should have the same effect in this case.

Thought it might be that but it's in more than one location... Might get on to three

If its doing it on lots of towers the next thing to do is go into a Three store and ask for a new sim.

I've been getting a full signal showing G instead of H+ or LTE, no data while showing G only calls. I'm on 3 as well, just done a reboot and its still on G.

Is anyone successfully using the oneplus on tesco? Just go the data and unlimited call plan with tesco. The original sim was cut down but it does not seem to be agreeing with the phone.

Threw the card into another old phone and tethering would fine along with everything else.

Just bought one of these which are supposed to work perfectly with the OPO even with a case on it, I'll report back if it does. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JLG0ZD6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Working fine for me apart from mms which I don't really use anyway. I assume you entered the Tesco mobile APN as per their support pages? Also you need to
    enable data roaming.

I'm with tesco. No problems. It's easy to put sim in upside down though.
