Surely a Zonda and the 6x6 G-Wagen are more impressive then an e46 M3 no? GTR or not...

All on the same epic level for me but Id take the GTR personally :D

Lads, how long does it take to get a new pin for tax? Will I be able to get the car taxed in a few days?

Lads, how long does it take to get a new pin for tax? Will I be able to get the car taxed in a few days?

What you can do is check if the change of ownership has been confirmed on motortax.ie.
If you see that there has been a change of ownership then click motor tax online PIN renewal.
Fill in your details and they will immediately send the PIN to your email address.
I did this once I saw that the logbook had been changed over and taxed my car before the logbook even arrived.
Then it's a simple matter of waiting the 2/3 days.

So it can't be done by the new owner without the Log Book changing hands on the system?

I'm not too sure, I only know that I can only tax the car once it's in my name.

That thing has been going around for a year. Amazed customs aren't having a field day. There's a 4.2 Quattro Q7 on Kuwaiti plates around there to.

I was in Kuwait twice and over there that car would be seen as completely normal if anything the engine would be on the small side. It's amazing how different it is to here. A 335i BMW to them would be like a 1.4 focus to us. But then I suppose when petrol is substantially cheaper than water.

    A 1.6 would be equivalent to an m3 :D

No it is unbelievable over there. The place my uncle works in the lowest vehicle you could get on the company car list was a 4.2 v8 Pajero and that was literally bottom of the ladder. But then it's 5-10 euro to fill the tank with petrol. A 4.2l a4 Quattro s line would be like a corolla here in the fact everyone had them and they don't stand out. Some place.

Jesus Chris that's shocking, you've had a bad turn of luck with trying to get bits for the car but his attitude was ridiculous!

    No pun intended.
That's crazy behavior on the supervisors behalf. What is wrong with people.
Even if he didn't give a f*** there's no need for carry on like that.

Lads, what do ye make of this? To me it looks like a mistake but even if it is clocked, I'm not overly bothered as it doesn't seem to be clocked by a lot.

    27/01/2012 159,325 Kms (99,000 Mls) INMR
    20/07/2010 180,247 Kms (112,000 Mls) INMR
    08/06/2010 143,232 Kms (89,000 Mls) INMR
    04/06/2010 143,232 Kms (89,000 Mls) INMR

How do you do 23,000 miles in a month, looks like it was misentered to me.?

Wouldn't be too concerned to be honest...looks way off the mark, and as you guessed, looks like a mis-entry.

    Hi,

Looking for help. At the end of this month I have four of my cars to arrive in Dublin. I cannot find any storage place in Dublin for them and keeping them outside is not an option. I have found some storage place in Kilcullen (Co. Kildare) which is around one hour from my house. I will have to organise to keep my cars there this weekend if I cannot find somewhere else. I would like somewhere in Dublin. So, do you know anywhere I could store three cars (one car will stay with me at home) in Dublin? Safe, dry, clean place.

    Rubin.

Seems like an odd bulb combo. Have you mixed up high beams and fogs. Id do high beams too, you'll be glad some dirty winter's night. Fogs only worth doing if you want all colours to match... The 3 times a year you need fogs on... ;-)

Edit, you haven't mixed up the bulbs, but still seems like a weird expensive combo to me!

These "superwhite" type bulbs are a waste of money. In my experience they provide no better illumination than the regular type. Buy a set of Tesla standard bulbs.

2006 Lexus LS430, 1966 Mercedes-Benz SL 230 Pagoda and a pair of 1967 Mercedes-Benz SL 250. Also I have some other cars; in Ireland now I have a 1980 Porsche 911 sc and back in Liechtenstein I have a 1960 MGA which is being restored.

I need some storage space for Mercedes.

You can't rent industrial units for a couple of hundred quid a month outside Dublin, might be worth considering if these are staying here long term. Nice collection you have

    Thank you.
I would like to rent in Dublin simply to be near the cars, but I may look to the outskirts if I cannot find a place in Dublin soon. I don;t mind paying a few hundred or more, once the cars are in a nice place. They will be here for five years. My current place does not have a garage large enough for everything.

Id be looking at somewhere half an hour or so from Dublin. So the likes of newbridge, drogheda, navan etc should throw up some places. Dublin industrial units are to expensive, naturally due to the location. All the above are close, but not to far away

    :o

I got done there once. My first car, my second week driving and my first 2 points. Although I was doing 112 and that was before that stretch was upgraded to a motorway. The car I was driving wouldn't do anywhere near 186 if you drove it off a cliff.

Since then I don't think I've ever gone over the limit around that area. The paranoia is still the 7 years later plus I've seen countless amounts of people done there too.
