had a nice suprise driving down the ashbourne swords backroad the other day- myself and 1 other car got stuck behind a tractor and he actually pulled in to let us pass at the first chance he got and he pulled out again on his way. i gave him the hazard lights and a big thank you salute wave:D

Seen the same thing when I was coming back from Trim, I was following a ford(think it was a Focus) and the guy driving the slow vehicle pulled over and let us pass, the ford put on his hazards to thank him.

I was just looking at some of the Channels like Autocar and the like, they only seem to review highend unafordable cars with coments like "and it only cost £80,000.", personally for me these cars are not even on my radar and that alienates me somewhat, I like cars I might be driving in the near future and that means under €10,000 2nd hand.

So I thought aboout what I would like to watch and for me personally I would love for youtube to have a channel that just reviews Japanese imports, a different car each show featuring cars like the 240Z up to the R34 GTR, a sister Channel could just do reviews of classic American muscle.

Anyone any suggestions for going rate for 2010 focus St? Or expected cost to change from 2009 Accord type S 2.0?

I drive that road several times a week, and the "locals" in their tractors and horseboxes do this all the time, it's a real pleasure

Might be a silly question but do cars in Belfast have Uk or irish reg or can it be either..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,855 ✭✭✭nd

Belfast is officially part of the Uk so if it was registered there it'll be Uk.

Actually the North of Ireland has its own number plate system but DVLANI has now be centralised in Cardiff

They have a different reg layout in Norn Iron than 'The Mainland', no?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,013 ✭✭✭davycc

ni regs usually have 3 letters followed by 3-4 numbers easy to tell from the uk "mainland" plates

Tends to be about 20/80 Irish/NI plates going by the amount of time I've spent in Belfast rush hour.

If it's an NI based car it should have an NI plate

Someone mentioned them earlier in Cinos tyre thread. Look down a few pages. Think they were fitted to a van.

There's a tyre thread? Never seen it, can't find it either.

Brought the car out for a speed run.
0-160 kms 18 seconds. Not bad I suppose, I kinda choked up the revs for a split second in first gear.

I'd drive a car that did 100 mpg even if it took an hour to get to 40 mph. Fuel efficiency is my priority.

    Most of you prefer acceleration?

I like poke and power, but I also like good mpg. Hard one to call. I suppose what I have at the moment is a mix of both.
