The old buck at the end of the desk is not well informed, you cannot be deprived of your nationality if you are born in the country, or are a from a country that was part of the empire. For his suggestion that members of the IRA should have their nationality removed knows nothing about the GF agreement. The panel is like a collection of reporters from the Beano and the Dandy.

But Declan Power is a security expert??

Maybe they were all young culchies, with experience of how long it takes to get assistance from the Guards,(2hrs) ambulance ( anyones guess if the ambulance starts) Firebrigade (as fast as they can, volunteers), you could understand their actions.

Labour girl has obviously swallowed Joan Burton's guff with regard to slave labour.

The vagaries of the calendar - the way it goes back one day every year - and the Dept of Ed's standardised holidays for primary and secondary schools. Best I can do at the minute.

Yeah, maybe they were just decent people and saw that they could help someone in pain, and just did it.

Lapin, I can't believe your post.

So Bahrain is yet another problem area we have to worry about, as if Syria, Iraq, Gaza and the Ukraine were not enough to be going on with!

With all the problems we're having over child issues, abuse, adoption, fostering etc.,we should probably hand it all back to the Church to take care of.

I mean, they handled these issues so brilliantly in the past

No date was given, just September. Probably have to wait till he gets the all-clear from the doctors. In fairness, he hadn't looked well for some time

They must be stuck for journalists to appear on VB. Next week they'll have reps from The Beano and The Dandy.

Poor Dearhail, obviously p1ssed off in Talbot Towers for some time, has been hawking herself around RTE for a couple of years now, available at the drop of a hat to contribute on radio or TV. RTE hasn't risen to the bait however and has not offered her a staff position so she seems to have dropped her ambitions for the time being and will settle for TV3 for now, if they'll have her.
