5mil for a player on the bench, my point about too much money invested in defence still stands! Palace away to Arsenal! I can see the gunners putting a few past them! And i disagree, any time a manager leaves a club it causes unrest

I didnt argue anything about the amount of money invested in defence.

Whilst I never expected anything other than an Arsenal win, I think people are exaggerating the problems at Palace.

0 in the bank, really not sure about Sanchez......I can see a lot of rotation by Wenger

Perhas try Ramsey. And yes they will have to rotate, they have something like 6 games in the first 20 days including a trip to Turkey.

I doubt that Palace will change their preparation or tactics for the 1st game or even first few games. I think they'll be quite formidable for a while yet

Look at where they were before Pulis arrived. The man's a genius.

Doesnt mean they'll automatically revert to that.

Holloway changed too much too quickly, even signed players he couldnt register. Realized his mistake a few months in and quit. Its not the same scenario, it is a very different situation.

    Nice team actually

    Krul (Mannone)

    Debuchy, Terry, Lovren, Azpil (Ward)

    Sanchez, Mata, Siggy, Johnson (McCarthy)

    Costa, Rooney (Vaz Te)

    All thoughts appreciated!!

Have swapped out Ward for Cameron. Leaving me with 0.5 in the bank. Anywhere there I could upgrade?

Thanks for your advice. But any suggestions on who.

I don't rate the Liverpool defence going by last season they looked like they would concede a goal every attack. Mignolet was pretty poor,

Chelsea have Everton and Man City away in their first 5 games.

Man City have Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in their first few games. Half of their defenders are currently marked as injured. And they looked pathetic last weekend in the Charity Shield.

Everton have an extremely hard start too. Coleman down as injured.

Spurs do not have an easy start and hard to know who will play. Even in their first game against WestHam, its away and West Ham beat Spurs 3 times last season.

Man Utd have the best start this season and I have DDG in goal.

And Arsenal probably have the second best start - have Chambers, maybe I should double up with debuchy?

Upgrade 2 of your 4s to 4.5s anyway, guaranteed starters at least. Caulker, Coloccini, O'Shea, Bardsley... Along those lines

It's largely the same players. Pulis' problem was a lack of signings.

He got the best out of those players and I think another manager may struggle to get the same.

How nailed on is Ireland, does anyone know? Seems to have had a good preseason but don't know who his competition for a starting place is

I am expert! Sorry, doing this on my phone and haven't had the the FF open, so been going from (very dodgy) memory

    Have O'Shea.

Colocini is not a bad idea. But half of the Newcastle team are injured at the moment. So I would not be expecting too much from them atm.

Palace have made signings but he's just being a martyr to the cause because he wants to do a Holloway....

I think all the players are more cohesive this season than at the start of the last season, regardless of whether it has changed alot or not.

Newcastle and Sunderland rotate well too.

    KRUL
    CHAMBERS, LOVREN, DEBUCHY
    FABREGAS, SILVA, MATA, RAMSEY
    COSTA, ROONEY, BOJAN

    SUBS- MYHILL, BRUCE, WISDOM, RODWELL

    Thoughts?
Im probably weak at the back and bench?

Plan is to change chambers to 5m rated defender after first week

Any opinions on Courtois lads? He will surely start? 50/50 still though, it's a risk having him

'Twas the night before kick off
    And all through the thread
    Questions were being asked
    And answered in ones head

    :)

Spot on there with the answers to your own questions Stuba ;) He's a sure 50/50 starter and I'd avoid and look to their defenders (Terry & Cahill) for safe Chelsea picks.

Thoughts on this team? Attack and midfield is strong enough imo but defence could be stronger

The FF Gods have been telling me to ditch Bojan and take a punt on jovetic thus having to rejig things around again.. Also started to have doubts about Lovren. Although it's probably best to have a player like him that a big % have. In a nutshell, I haven't a clue. Thoughts on Young Utd fans? His inclusion would mean ditching Mata. I'm also don't like bringing in players for a week like chambers so might ditch him too. Need some City cover but not sure where

    Krul
    Chambers felipe Lovren
    Sterling Fabregas Ramsey Young
    Costa Rooney jovetic

    Sig Bruce Cameron

Fantasy Premier Scout predict that he will start.

I think Hughes likes him a lot; they got on well at Man City.

Young will start. Should have got player of the tournament in the US this summer (but it went to Rooney).

Mata costs more, but I think will get more points.

Id definitely have Young in there considering Shaws absence and Young's performance in pre season, with the money from Mata you could pick up another very taster midfielder

Seems good, but not sure I'd be going for Jagielka at that price.

    Its only for W1

Yip, had the same memo from the gods myself. Had to rejig things earlier for a Bojan -> Jovetic move.
Young will play but he's playing at LWB, I still think he'll get you a few points.
Luis not a certainty so if I was spending that much on a defender I'd have to be sure(er) he's going to start.
