You can worry if you like but I put up here last season who would play at the back for Palace(Under a different account) people questioned me then but I was proven right.

I am confident if Hangeland signs for Palace they will line up at the back like this .
    Marippa Dann Hangeland Ward.
    We'll see what happens though.

I like my team and am generally set on it but Dzeko is in my forward line along with Rooney & Giroud - surely though having Dzeko is going to mean a waste of a transfer after a few weeks once he gets benched, or they play only 1 up top with the fixtures they have.

Surely I need to look at Bony, Soldado or switching to Sturridge and Rooney and a 5 man mid?

The man city forward rotation surely isn't worth it? How many games do people expect Dzeko to get and are you planning a WC early?

I don't like the idea of basically committing to having to get rid of him wk 3/4/5 once Aguero is back and the Jovetic will get game time too

Yeah I think the only Man City striker that will ever be solid long-term this season is Aguero when fit.

I do worry which is why I have avoided Mariappa. I've also given the reasoning behind my worries. Any chance you could do the same re your confidence that he'll start?

I'm not trying to be smart. I'd like to get your reasoning because, if he will start, a Palace defender at 4.5 would be a great option.

I'd sign Bardsley straight up if he does.
Edit: No I wouldn't actually. Just spotted Bardsley is 5 mil. I thought he was 4.5. Back to the drawing board.

Which one of these two would you choose lads?

A: Sturridge, Ramsey, Sigurdsson and Evans

B: Dzeko, Sanchez, de Jong and Shaw

A by a long margin. 4 proven PL performers.

That's the risk with these players and why they are priced .5 million cheaper than their compatriots. There's a greater risk they won't feature or will be dropped.

Frank Lampard might be on his way to City for 6 months before New York. Not sure he'll be getting much game time. Think it's more to do with City getting their home grown quota.
Stay away from Silvas points Frank.

The Guardian have an article on him.

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/jul/31/eric-dier-tottenham-sporting-lisbon
He is 6ft 3in and, in addition to his physicality and threat at set pieces, he brings comfort on the ball, technique and an ability to read the game. He chimes with the sort of football that Pochettino is seeking to play at Tottenham, while he appears mature beyond his years.

Could be interesting if he comes in at 5.0. Spurs should be very solid this season.

Terry v Luis for Chelsea back four?

Cesc v Hazard for Chelsea midfield?

    Any ideas?

Well Terry and Hazard are unquestionably the better choices if you're not considering the prices. In relation to prices I think it mostly depends on what you can afford for your team. I think Luis and Hazard are the better value.

anyone sceptical about Luis? think it would be tough to get in what was such a solid back 4 last season of terry ivanovic azpi & cahill... eased in gently perhaps?

For the most part I think he'll be first choice, being a natural lb. Hardest to figure is between Ivan and Azpi, but my hunch says Azpi, and then Ivan can cover at rb or cb when needed.
