I doubt it, they would need 10 clear weeks for the licence application alone.

    Oh right. shame.

How about he plays 5 gigs in 3 days?

Or he could play the 3 gigs as planned and then play 32,000 more gigs to crowds not exceeding 5,000 people, which would adequately cater to the 160k who are missing out. Bit of a lazy bollocks.

You never heard someone say things like "it was havoc in town today" referring to big crowds, bad traffic? Well I often have and use the term myself in this context.
That is not the expression you used, and you know it.
Everyone should turn up anyway on the night they were due to attend and cause f*king havoc in the area!!! Make the residents regret every word they uttered against the concerts
Now, in what context could someone "cause" havoc, if they meant to do no wrong.

Then again, a quick trawl of your posts over the last few days shows that you regularly break the law when you are at home and you believe certain laws should be changed to suit you and your type.

As I've stated before cause disruption. I don't know why people are so bothered about a statement that has absolutely no notion of actually happening. Its like taking a parent seriously when they say "I'll kill him when I get home" after hearing their child was in trouble at school.

I regularly break the law do I? You shouldn't really be throwing around accusations with nothing to back them.

I think everyone in the world would like certain laws changed to suit them, thats just human nature.

The first 2 posts below are from the thread "Would you drink and drive if it wasn't against the law". The third is from the thread "Drink Driving"
It should be ok imo, I'd have the limit set to allow the average drinker to have around 3 pints. Sure most people are doing it anyway (in my neck of the woods anyway) so it might as well be legal.

An alternative would be an american style where people can prove they are ok to drive by carrying out a series of challenges. That would be very fair imo as it would mean the people who can hold their drink would pass while the people who are a danger after even one are put off the road.
    After a few pints definitely.

    Pissed drunk no.
I'd drive after 2 or 3 pints every now and then. Mostly if we stop in for a few in one of the locals on the way back from a match etc early in the evening (wouldn't risk it late at night due to increased risk of bagging).

Post 1 I make no reference to myself at all I'm talking about other people. Post 2 is a hypothetical question which I answered. Post 3 I'm not admitting to breaking the law, you are only breaking the law if you are over the limit you have no idea how long I would wait before driving or if I was even over to begin with. Also since when does "now and then" = regularly.

So not a shred of truth in what you are saying, so please retract your false accusations.

No, no she doesn't not even close. See above. I knew exactly which posts were going to be brought up as "proof".

It really is pathetic when people trawl through a posters history looking for anything they can twist in their favour which as nothing to do with the topic being discussed.

If you wouldn't do it late at night due to increased risk of bagging but would do early in the evening then it follows you are over the limit.

Nothing to do with the topic - you have threatened to foul peoples driveways and cause havoc in the area. Showing proof you regularly break the law is very much related and pathetic that you think it is no issue.

That's neither here nor there, you have absolutely no grounds to claim I have broken any law, you are making false accusations.

I jokingly threatened to "foul " someone garden, I never threatened to cause havoc, I didn't actually refer to myself in that post. You are showing no proof of me breaking the law and certainly not doing it regularly.

Basically you are telling complete lies. I'm finished with this complete waste of time and off topic discussion.

Brilliant stuff! Fianna Fail actually doing something good!

How long do you think it would take to get a bill passed into law, an appeal (and objections) lodged, reviewed an a decision made?

It's been said before, but the anger should be aimed at Aiken, and no one else.

While every concert sells tickets 'subject to license' they (and the GAA) should have known from previous experience that the additional Monday and Tuesday night gigs were going to be a problem. They're well experienced at this stage. They made shakey promises, and then signed contracts (I'm sure) left right and centre on the basis that they would get the permission from DCC for the five nights. In short, they should have known better.

By threatening to pull the gigs Garth Brooks is trying to apply pressure on the Irish State, and it's pretty obnoxious, but I'd say that at this stage it's not financially viable for him to only do three shows. He's not on tour, it's a one off gig. I don't think he can say this outright so he's dressing it up as "I love you all so much, I don't want anyone to feel left out". It's nonsense, but his fans would go bat-sh*t if he said I'm not doing it cos it cuts into my margins too much. It's show BUSINESS.

The childish protests out of some of the Garth side are pretty pathetic though. It's a gig, it's not the end of the world. Get over it. The people who live in the area already compromise and put up with enough with the events that are held there.

The posters falling over themselves to get the sly digs in at people from outside the pale aren't crowning themselves in glory either.
